We've all had the case of the Sunday blues at some point. The weekend comes to an end and we have to brace ourselves for the new work week. Sunday is your day to relax and recharge. If you use your time wisely, you will set yourself up for success! Here are 5 things you can do on Sunday that'll help improve your week.

1. Check your calendar.
See if you've got any important events in the upcoming week. Maybe it's an important meeting, or you're celebrating your friend's birthday. Either way, looking at what you have scheduled will allow you to prepare for the week and make any necessary changes if needed.

2. Prep your meals.
This will save you a lot of time during the week. Preparing your meals on Sunday removes the hassle of trying to figure out what to make for dinner after you've just finished a long day at work. Everyone has their own way of preparing their meals. Some people like to cook a bunch of meals at once and freeze them. Others like to keep it simple and prepare the same meal for the week (great for non-picky eaters). 

3. Tidy up.
Straighten up tiny messes around the house. Wipe down the kitchen counter, take out the trash, and do some light dusting. However, if you prefer to dive in and clean your place, grab the mop and go to town! Doing some light cleaning around the house will make you feel more productive and ready to take on the week with a fresh start! (no pun intended)

4. Go to bed early.
This may not be news to you, but the amount of sleep you get affects your productivity during the week. Avoid staying up late and power down at a reasonable hour to ensure you get an adequate amount of rest. This is not the time to binge watch that Netflix show you're addicted to. You will thank yourself later. 

5. Relax.
Indulge in a little self-care. Read a book. Meditate. Take a hot bath. The week can feel very chaotic and stressful, so it's important to find balance. You need to set aside some time for yourself so you can unwind and recharge for the new week.
