Each tip now has a thinner base end, creating a more natural finish that requires less filling during prep. Each tip also now has a thicker free edge, creating a stronger, more durable Gel-X Tip.
With 600 pieces per box and 14 sizes total, Gel-X is still the pioneer and leader in full coverage soft gel extension system. Applied with their Extend Gel, Gel-X can provide 4+ weeks of beautiful nail extensions. Made of soft gel, Gel-X can quickly be soaked off with acetone.

Sculpted vs Natural
If you're new to the Gel-X System, you'll notice that there are two different types of extensions: sculpted and natural.
Natural Tips
Natural tips have a flatter surface with a less pronounced C-curve and are meant for clients with a flatter, wider nail bed.
Sculpted Tips
Sculpted tips has a higher apex and a deeper C-curve, meant for either clients with a curved nail bed or a Natural client who prefers the look of a Sculpted Gel-X Tip. Because the Sculpted tips have a higher apex and deeper C curve, when you lay the tips onto a normal nail bed, you'll notice a lot more empty space between the nail bed and the Gel-X tip. This is normal. If you try to push down the tip to flatten it, you'll ruin the shape and apex that will be created once the Extend Gel fills in that empty space.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: If your nails beds are rounded, you should use the Sculpted tips. If you try to lay a Natural tip on a round nail bed, you'll notice that the base does not sit flush. This means that water could seep into the nail and you increase your chances of developing a fungus. This is also the most common reason why Gel-X tips fall off prematurely. If the sidewalls are not covered, the structure of the extension will not be safe from stress and breakage. If the tip is not straight and in the correct positioning, the tips will look very odd on the fingers.

Round Tips
Round nails give a soft look and are perhaps the most natural-looking of all nail shapes. Typically, if you're wanting to make your fingers appear more elongated, you'd want to go for a longer tip length. However, if you're looking for something a bit more practical, you may want to try the Extra Short length.
Coffin
Coffin shape nails are a popular choice for French manicures. They help elongate the fingers while creating a classy, elegant look. Unfortunately, there's not an image currently available showcasing all the different lengths for the Coffin shape, but the model in the image above is wearing the Long Coffin length. Stiletto
Stiletto shapes are for the trendsetters. You're not afraid to tap your pointed nails to get attention. Stiletto nails are great for elongating shorter fingers. The pointed shape is made for standing out. Here, you can see how the Long, Medium, Short and Extra Short look.
Almond
The almond shape tends to be one of the more popular styles. It looks very similar in appearance to the round shape, but the main difference is in the free edge. Almond tips are slightly more "narrow" towards the free edge.
