HOLD LEVEL 3 Get a grip on volume: this rich flexible spray infused with sugar provides lift, shine and touchable grippy texture.
I am very happy with this product.
After trying a bottle, I ordered 6 more through Beyond Polish, due to their fabulous price per bottle.
My hair is super fine and thin, and poke straight.
I have achieved an entirely different hair style now, which I love, and is easy to manage, without washing daily. Added plus.
Spray, scrunch, air dry, or lightly blow dry, and keep scrunching the entire time. Fluff.
Add a light setting spray, and I guarantee you will have created a beautiful beach wave look. Keep playing with it. It is worth it.
It is unbelievable how much volume you will see. I highly recommend this product.
Sugar lift is great for people like me with thin hair. I can easily style and have excellent results
My stylist used this on my hair and did a regular blowout, followed by some curling iron waves. It didn't do much of anything and he had to add some styling spray to get the curls to stay in. This spray did add some volume, at first, but it didn't last more than about 30-40 minutes. I saw this spray in Ulta and almost purchased it. The description sounded good but it's a small bottle for $20 or more so I decided to skip it. I'm perfectly happy layering Living Proof No Frizz Weightless Styling Spray and Rusk Thick. Together they give me a nice amount of volume that lasts all day and the waves stay in place as well. LP gives me great hold and eliminates frizz completely while Thick gives me volume and heftier strands. Layering the two products works great for me. Neither product is stiff or sticky and LP is so light that I can't feel it in my hair at all. I liberally spray on the two products and then let my hair air dry overnight. In the morning I brush through my hair and use a curling iron to create loose waves. I then lightly brush through the waves and then use a flexible hold hairspray to finish (Got2b Mind Blowing h/s for very light hold or Carol's Daughter Monoi h/s for a little stronger hold) and I'm good to go. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Wella Sugar LIft at all. It didn't work for me and I'm sure my stylist was disappointed that it didn't. If you have to add another product, that's not a good sign. So I definitely don't recommend this spray but I do recommend the other products I've mentioned. With them I have a good hair day nearly every day and I always get compliments on the style and color. I do like Wella Koleston Perfect hair color and have used it for 10 years and would never use anything else. However, this Wella styling product leaves something to be desired.
I have fine, flat hair that gets oily at the scalp quickly, and trying to achieve texture and volume is always a challenge. I had great success with Redken Wool Shake on damp hair, but of course that product was discontinued. I hoped that this Wella Sugar Lift would be a suitable alternative, but it is not. The scent is like clean shampoo, which is nice, but that is about the only pro. I tried the spray several times....on damp and dry hair; on roots sparingly, another time on roots generously; with volumizing mousse and without. This product did nothing each time. Nothing at all. It gives hair a nice scent, but little to no texture at all. Definitely no volume. Very disappointing. This one is not worth the money.
