Medium With Yellow Undertones
Skin imperfections, beware! When it comes to covering up discoloration, our new Gotcha Covered Concealer Pencil does NOT mess around.
Unfortunately, this did not work for me. I read somewhere else that the formula was changed and coconut oil was added to the mix which caused breakouts for many girls. I can't tell how it was before since I bought it for the first time after the reformulation, but I can assure you that my skin didn't like this at all. It covered what I needed to cover well (hence the two stars) but I used it only once because a day after using it, I had a breakout which correlated with the areas I used the concealer for.For those who are considering buying it, the yellow concealer is thin and its yellowness is quite deep in comparison to the thicker and very light yellow concealer from nyx concealer palette). I put tiny dots of it on the problem areas (scars) and dabbed it out it spread out better than the nyx concealer from the palette, which tends to cling to the drier areas and, in my opinion, wears off more quickly. I would like to test out how this would work when my skin was even drier than the day I used it, but I don't want another breakout. ;(Overall, sad it didn't work for me.
After trying out the NYX Full Coverage Concealer in a jar I decided to go back to the HD line because I prefer this formula. I use this to brighten dark circles and the inner parts of my eye than can look dark when I turn my head. I apply the yellow first set it, and then apply a shade that matches me from the HD line and I have no problems with darkness around my eyes. I generally use brushes but it can look streaky when I swipe it rather than pat it into my skin. Blending with fingers does have smoother results. I would repurchase, I try a lot of products from NYX's line here and there so it's a good thing local grocery stores and CVS have coupons / deals.
A must have. It cancels out the purple tones in my under eyes before I apply concealer. It is pigmented, but not too pigmented. It's buildable. I put on two layers (before foundation and concealer) and blend with damp beauty sponge. It's lightweight and layers well with other products. It does not cling to dry areas. Only con is the doe foot applicator does not hold a lot of product.
This works very well at cancelling out my undereye circles = about 85% which is better than most I have tried. My actual rating is 3.5.I do set lightly w/ powder as it will crease a little bit on me if I don't.I will probably re-purchase
When I purchased this product I bought the yellow color correcting HD concealer as well as the green shade. I do not like this product! It is not the right yellow to be used under the eyes. It is more of a mustard yellow than a color correcting yellow, also it has almost no coverage. It left my eyes looking more tired than before I applied the product. I think it would look better on darker skin colors since this is a very dark yellow. I am a NC20 NW20. The green color corrector has amazing coverage and a little goes a long way I just don't understand why this isn't as good as the other concealer. Also the purple concealer is ultra pigmented too. Will continue my search for the perfect yellow concealer. This was a total flop. But will purchase the purple one since the swatches in the store were amazing.
