This is great for a subtle natural look. It gives a little definition without looking overdone. I have the Too Faced Natural palette and a couple other Too Faced neutral type eyeshadows but I often feel like they're too heavy for certain occasions. For instance I wore this to a job interview where I was asked to look casual. There are lipsticks that are "your lips but better," well this is an eyeshadow that's "your eyes but better." If you go into this with that in mind, that it's intended to give you definition with the least done up look possible, you will be happy with this. Also this leans towards the taupe/cooler side than some neutrals, which works great with my warm brown eyes. It's not a matte, but it's not really shimmery. It's kind of a pearl/satin finish. The texture on these is spectacular too, it is soft and buttery. It has that almost creamy texture TF and UD are known for.EDIT: These can be extremely gorgeous and dramatic if you apply with a heavy hand. You essentially have to do two full layers. I discovered this when I reapplied it in the evening once. If I put this on first, then do the rest of my makeup, then come back and redo the entire look, it's a PERFECT naked eye look. Love it. Definitely a staple for me.
I never re-buy any nail polish because let's face it, you never run out before moving on to the next thing. I put yes because of the quality of this polish and I'd probably more of NYX's "Matte" line. It goes on smoothly and dries quickly. I use 2 coats and it doesn't seem to get all jacked up with all the activity that I do. It lasts for a good 3 to 4 days before chipping off.
I think the consistency of these colors were good, however the color payoff was not what I had expected. Sahara is really the only color that really stood out for me. Suede and Chocolate were very similar and the color payoffs were weak. Either would make an acceptable middle color, however I find myself using other ones instead. Chocolate isn't dark enough to be a shader/crease color. My verdict on this is to skip it and just purchase Sahara as a single eyeshadow.
I found that the pigment was shockingly intense! Which is perfect because the product was so cheap! The colours are gorgeous, no complaints :) I think this is great with people with warmer skin tones. The darkest colour adds great depth to your eyes. I'd love to buy more NYX products again!
It's often said that NYX eyeshadows are a good budget alternative to MAC eyeshadows. But this trio makes me think more of Bobbi Brown. Sahara is a pale sand/beige shimmer that I found very useful for evening out my eyelid color as a base. I used Chocolate on my crease and Sahara on the upper lid. The result is a nice smooth neutral eye/work look. It held up well through my Pilates class, too. Suede and Chocolate, unusual for NYX colors, are both matte. I found I had to apply Chocolate twice to get a good depth of color, but that's my only quibble. For my very fair, cool skin, I'm liking this trio better than NYX TS3 Nude/Taupe/Dark Brown.
