Dull-looking shade of deep, greyed-out periwinkle with a creme finish. From their Fall 2017 Collection, Essie's "As If!" looks bland and unflattering on my nails. I prefer their Truth or Flare, or Bikini So Teeny for similar shades.Good formula though. Opaque in two coats, and no problems with application or wear.But because I didn't care for the shade itself, I wouldn't buy this again.

As If! is from the fall 2017 collection, that has just been released. It is a periwinkle blue creme shade. I've removed a lippie because I know that there are lots of extremely similar polish shades around, though this one has a teensy bit of red in the undertone, for a bit of uniqueness.I recommend this shade as the red adds intensity and warmth that is perfect for transitioning from summer to autumn, and the formula is fantastic to work with; it is a flawless one coater (though I do recommend two coats for a better wear time). The formula is neither too thick or too thin, has great pigmentation, it is smooth, even and non-streaky to apply, it dries quickly, and I've not experienced any staining [I always wear a basecoat]. In general nail polishes will last me anywhere between two to four days with only minimal wear. But as I'm a self powered wheelchair user I'm tough on my hands and am always catching my nails, so I can't really speak for how long lasting the formula is overall.

YUM! i didn't notice any of the drying issues the previous reviewer experienced. this is an older polish, long discontinued and harder to find now, which is a shame it's such a lovely and deep color. Application was smooth and even (better than a lot of the more recent Essies, for sure). I didn't get any streaks or thickness. standard Essie packaging is nice, compact and easy to hold/grip/store. this one will not have the glass bottle embossing or the platic stamped "e" on the top of the lid it is too old for that, but it does have a standard Essie style sticker on the bottom.if you're a fan of purples or vamps, PICK THIS UP, if you can! here's my pic of VIP compared to some other darker purples in the same family: and in sunlight: continued >>
