The color of the Tea & Crumpets received is a pink frosted hue whereas the color my wife uses and loves is a beige frosted hue. Why the big difference on the same name?

I must say, I'm not one for high-end nail polishes typically, but Essie might just turn me over to the dark side. I'm a dedicated Sinful Colors loyalist but couldn't resist the chance to pick up some Essie the other day--both the name and iridescence of "tea and crumpets" caught my eye. It's a beautiful, shimmery frosty beige-pink that manages to be cool and warm at the same time, nad it perfectly compliments my medium-brown warm toned skin. Application was far easier than I expected. I used 3 coats and it looks so pretty and dainty and clean, as multiple users have commented. I feel put together and feminine with this on. I love wearing bright nail colors, but there's something so perfect and satisfying about a beautiful nude. It's like wearing nice lingerie--you just feel more beautiful and on top of your shit. I used to revert to Sinful Colors Easy Going when I wanted a light pink/nude, but I think this is my new go to. Definitely a new Essie fan!

Streaky!

Streaky!!! Love the shimmery gold pink, but it's so streaky! It's a beautiful color if you can figure out how to get it on properly:(

I love this color.

I love this color. On my MAC NC43 skin this is an amazing neutral. Most of the neutrals that look amazing on fair women make me look dead (ballet slippers anyone. YUCK!) but this is fabulous. A shimmery peachy champagne color. It makes my hands and feet look so classy; Someone else summed it up perfectly here by saying they look "clean." I ususally prefer dark colors on my toes but when my nails are short or Im not looking to do a heavy manicure this works well.A little streaky but 3 coats is perfect especially with a top coat. I'll keep this one in my arsenal.

Being English, I was attracted by the name who in the UK does not have fond memories of tea and crumpets by a roaring (gas) fire. Mr Ebay promised a nude-brown shade, think tea, think crumpets = browny shade. But Mr E-bay lied! Tea and crumpets is a lovely nude-pink shimmer polish, perfect for work but not a colour I would descibe as reminding me of tea. Or crumpets!!!Coverage is OK, sheer with one coat, OK after 2, three was the best bet and it dried quickly from base to top coat was less than 1/2 hour.In summary, a lovely colour at a good price but there are a lot of others out there like it, I doubt I'd buy it again. Although I do love the name...
