Peak of Chic came out with one of Essie's 2013 holiday lines. I honestly had no interest in this polish, and if I hadn't received it as a gift I would have never ever bought it. But I'm so glad I ended up with this, because this polish is surprisingly awesome!I hate hate hateeee bar glitter polishes. That fuzzy kind of look they give your nails creeps me out, to be honest. All the swatches I had seen of this polish online were multiple coats, really built up and giving that fuzzy glitter look. I don't wear this polish that way. I apply a base color (my favorites under this right now are hot pink and silver polishes) and then apply a thin layer of Peak of Chic over top. The base of Peak of Chic is clear, so you can wear any polish underneath. With a thin layer of this, the bar glitters don't look furry, they look kind of like confetti, and I really like the effect! Most of the glitter pieces in this polish are white, but there are some holographic pieces thrown in, and those make the effect super gorgeous and sparkly. I'm so happy I ended up with this polish...I've been wearing it nonstop lately, layering it over tons of different colors and seeing what combos I like the best. I've still seen this polish out in stores, so I would highly recommend grabbing it before it's gone, even if you're a bar glitter hater like me! This might change your mind. :)
