Turquoise And Caicos is a very pretty shade of light turquoise cream.

Turquoise And Caicos is a very pretty shade of light turquoise cream. This polish is a fader though some versions are very bright and some have faded to a pastel green shade. I think mine is somewhere in the middle. The formula isn't great but it's not terrible, it is quite sheer and takes 3 coats to reach full opacity but it applies easily and doesn't run or flood the cuticles. It doesn't apply with streaks or patches. It dries quickly and to a shiny finish. It looks flattering on my NC15 skin but I imagine it would suit a wide variety of skin tones. It looks very pretty and while it is a unique colour, it is not too bright or loud, making it easier to wear than some brighter shades of turquoise. It has good staying power, lasting around 4 days when paired with base and top coat. Overall it is a pretty shade for Spring and summer!

This is a lovely vintage-y kind of pastel that isn't too chalky.

This is a lovely vintage-y kind of pastel that isn't too chalky. The formula is nice, and it wears well as well. It is a nice spring and summer shade that looks great against most skin tones IMHO.

Okay, get ready for a strange review.

Okay, get ready for a strange review. I bought a bottle of this polish, thinking that it was a bright sky blue-green because that's the way I remembered seeing it in review pics. But the color I purchased is a light, milky sage green...a cross between two other Essie shades, Mint Candy Apple and Parka Perfect. I got it home and read online that T&C is a fader...so clearly I got an older bottle that had undergone the fading. I put it on anyway, and I love it MUCH MORE than the brighter color it originally was. The faded color is much more unique. I can find polishes very similar to the original color anywhere. I did three coats yesterday, and yes it was sheer but it dried fast and it was no big deal. But today, it looks kind of sheered out, you know the way some polishes do after wear, So I added a fourth. I adore this faded, old bottle of polish and when I'm done with it, I'll go looking for another faded, old one!Btw, if you want a close approximation of what the color is like, google "jadeite". It's just like the pitchers and plates.

Turquoise & Caicos is a simple turquoise creme polish that came out a few years ago.

Turquoise & Caicos is a simple turquoise creme polish that came out a few years ago. I have had this in my untrieds and finally pulled it out to wear when I saw it featured on Phoebe Moon's YouTube channel on her Saturday Swatchfest. While I like the color, it isn't anything new and it's a plain turquoise creme. In some photos I've seen what appears to be shimmer in the polish, but on me and in person, I don't see any. This is a mint green more than it's blue. It's a warm color and when I got this on, I thought of China Glaze's For Audrey and Wet n' Wild's I Need a Refreshment. I pulled those from my stash, and they are indeed almost dupes. They are so close that if you have those, you don't need this one. In fact, this one has a terrible watery sheer formula and while the end result is pretty, it takes 4 good coats of this to get opacity. Four coats from a salon formula $9 polish!! That is two coats too many. If you like this color, skip this one and buy China Glaze's For Audrey instead and save a couple of dollars, or Wet n' Wild's I Need a Refreshment for only $2. I'll use this up but I wouldn't recommend this to a friend due to the sheer formula and the number of coats needed.

This was a beautiful color in the bottle, but sadly was a dud on me.

This was a beautiful color in the bottle, but sadly was a dud on me. I have medium olive hands, and it just looked dull and not at all vibrant on me. The formula was good, however it was sheer and needed to be built up with 4 coats to reach full opacity. Unfortunately, I would not buy again.
