My hair is quite thin and normal shampoo and conditioner have not kept it soft not to mention the hair thinning more. Nioxin products have served me well. I will continue to use them in the future.

I'm not sure why this got a bad review? I am on my third bottle. I use this every other wash on my scalp to keep it clean and healthy. I tried once to switch to #6 but after my hair taking on a weird hue I took to investigating the ingredients to see why the #6 was reddish coppery color and saw red and yellow dyes I returned it for the #5. All of the other ingredients were exactly the same by the way. I highlight my blonde hair and the last thing I want or need is my hair turning red or brassy. Anyway this is a staple to keep my scalp healthy and my hair growing:)

i bought a sample size of this to try. i have thin, fine, breakage-prone hair. it is also colored. this shampoo seemed to drain the body from my hair, and make it fly-away and too soft. i did like the sanitary and convenient flip-cap, though.
