NYX Matte Lipstick glides on smoothly and gives a you non-drying, long-wearing matte finish.
Bought it and returned it I just dont like pastel peachy mattes some may like it though but I dont.
In a word, unwearable. Which is unfortunate because I am so in love with this color. I'm no stranger to matte lipsticks. I'm aware that they are often drying. But many mattes actually do wear well and don't leave my lips looking like a hot desert mess. Not this one. It settles into every single line, and makes my lips look dry and cracked. And the caking. Dear God the caking. I have never worn a lipstick that looks so incredibly cakey. I've tried layering it with moisturizing lip products, hoping that I can somehow subvert the terrible formula of this product through some kind of magical lipstick alchemy, but to know avail. There is just no way to make this lipstick look even remotely decent on me. I should probably just throw it away, but part of me is still clinging to the hope that I might be able to figure out how to make this lipstick work for me one day. An impossible dream? Only time will tell.
If you wore this in a room with a black light, your lips would be the only thing visible. Except any wayward scorpions, which contain florescent components.
My friend convinced me to buy this color when we went shopping. I'm super pale (NC15) and this color looks amazing on me. It's super pigmented. It's not drying on the lips when you're wearing it, but once you remove it, your lips are left feeling dehydrated. This lipstick was a HUGE let down. It goes on soooo chalky. :'( There's no way to get around it. From afar, it looks beautiful but there's no hiding the chalky look close up. Also, the packinging is very nice and cute looking BUT as I would apply the lipstick, the bullet would slowly roll back down into the tube. It got so annoying constantly rolling it back up. I am so dissapointed NYX. The color is so gorgeous. I unfortunately cannot reccomend it and I will be returning this.
I don't get the hype around this shade. I really don't see how this color could be flattering on anyone. Maybe if you are verrrrryy fair. It's like a pastel cream sickle/ nudey peachy color that has wayyyy too much of a white base for my liking. No matter what I do this shade looks chalky on me.
