My boyfriend picked this colour out for me out of the OPI bin at the pharmacy, he said it would be a nice colour on me. I don't normally wear this colour because I am the pink polish kinda girl... but it's boyfriend approved, so I thought, why not. It's magenta with tiny purple flecks in it, so it's nice and shimmery in all lighting, just brilliant in the sunlight. It's now my favourite winter night out polish, and it doesn't look scary on when I grow out my nails. Takes about 3 coats to get the bottle colour, it lasts for a while with a decent top coat. Best of all, it makes my hand look paler. Another plus! Love OPI~!
I loveeeeee this color. Application needs two to three coats to get it true to the bottles colour but its such a beautiful shimmery colour. It suits all skin tones and stays on with a top coat for a long time. Love!
Magenta is my favourite colour so I had to have this nail polish and it certainly is a true magenta a very deep purple-pink. It has an intriguing lighter pink shimmer to it. I was disappointed with the fact that it has more of a satin finish and isn't a shiny lacquer. The first time I used it I applied a base coat and two coats and had tip wear the next day. The next time I used it I applied base, three coats and top coat and it lasted about four days without tip wear but not as long as other OPI colours I own.Despite the negatives, I would still buy this colour again because of its vibrance.
I really think this polish is a beautiful color; mauve-y, as the name implies, but a bit on the redder/warmer side, and a bit iridescent. There is no visible glitter or sparkles in it. I wore it as my holiday polish this year, and while I loved the color, the staying power was horrible. The polish literally chipped one day after I did my nails. I expect better quality from OPI, and therefore, I would not repurchase. EDIT: I applied this polish without a base coat and it stayed on much better! I only ended up with tip wear, and it really didn't stain my nails. I gave it 4 lippies now, and I may experiment with other base coats in the future.
