Gelato On My Mind was one of the most hyped colours from OPI's Venice collection and it certainly lives up to the hype! It is a gorgeous shade of creamy pale blue, with a decent amount of mint mixed in. It is similar to Tiffany blue but a bit lighter and brighter. It is a bright pastel, perfect for all year round, it looks amazing on tanned skin as well as fair skin. It has a lovely formula too, two coats to reach full opacity. It applies a bit streaky the first coat, but it evens out completely with the second. It self-levels well and I didn't have to worry about any streaks or bald patches with the second coat. It dried quickly and to a shiny finish. It wears very well too, even by OPI standards around 6 days on the nail when paired with base and top coat. I absolutely love this shade and will reach for it constantly. A+

Gelato On My Mind is from Fall 2015 Venice Collection.

Gelato On My Mind is from Fall 2015 Venice Collection. It's a light, mint blue, creme polish. When I bought it I thought it would be a pastel blue, but this polish is too bright and too shiny to be a pastel. The first coat is very streaky, so I needed 3 coats to even everything out. I used NYC Grand Central Station as top coat; my nails dried very quickly to a super shiny finish. This is the sort of polish/colour that gives me lobster hands and this one isn't an exception (unfortunately), but I love the colour very much and therefore I am happy to overlook the lobster hands, which is the first for me.

First of all I'm a classic nail polish kinda girl (red/ coral/ nude/ french) so it takes a pretty special color other than my usuals to tickle my fancy and get me out of my comfort zone. Blues/greens def aren't my thing but this light minty blue looks especially elegant (maybe the association with Tiffany's has something to do with it) and also daring, fun and striking! The first coat is surprisingly streaky with is rare with OPI IMO, hence one lippie missing. Things improve upon the second layer but it's still not good enough so three coats are required for opaque even coverage. At least the brush makes application easier and lasts about 5 days without chipping. I'd still repurchase.

Quite possibly one of OPI's best colors in the last ten years!! yup, I have a huge collection of OPI colors. I normally only would wear a color like this on my toes due to my age but IMO if your nails are short and shaped perfect you can wear any color at any age. BTW iam 47. I have a massive collection of nail colors and like to stay on trend. This color is a bit special... The gal at the salon said the same thing. It is a minty blue color that has tons of shine. Reminds me of Tiffanys in a way. Looks so pretty in the spring. Reminds me a lot of Essie Mint Candy Apple but this leans more blue and has much more shine not quite as pastel looking but they are close in color. Kinda weird but this color has a calming effect on me. Simply a pretty almost classy color in a non traditional way. I love it and must say my nails look pretty good with it on!!!! I get compliments from guys and gals all the time....You got to try it! I will be buying a back up on this one.... It is that special!!!!

Gelato on My Mind is a pale mint creme a little bit lighter than Essie Blossom Dandy, and a little bluer and lighter than Essie Mint Candy Apple. The formula of Gelato on My Mind is very streaky, but if you apply in thin coats it evens out on by the 3rd or 4th layer. Its a very pretty color but takes some work. For the price I probably wouldn't repurchase. I've had better pastel blues and greens from the Color Club (eg Twiggie) at a fraction of the price.
