Ok DIY ladies, we all love our frost and glow kits.

Ok DIY ladies, we all love our frost and glow kits. But I must tell you, this is a serious upgrade, for not much more $.I have Medium/dark brown hair and wanted to add to my grown out blond balayage highlights. I've had decent results with many bleaches, including drugstore options. Some bleaches seem to give me more trouble with warm tones, some leave my hair more dry, etc. I heard this is one of the better bleaches out there.This mixes up blue, which is quite reassuring. I mixed this with 30v developer with this plus the Ion Color Booster (which requires a 10v developer bump). I painted on pieces like balayage and wrapped them up in foils. Sometimes when I bleach, my hair will go through this awful neon orange stage. I watched my foils like a hawk and the orange stage with this actually didn't seem like it was as bright as it has gotten in the past. When I made it to yellow, it wasn't the cartoonish neon that often happens post bleach, it leaned sort of cool. The ion color Booster really seemed to slow the processing time quite a bit but I had no gumminess or signs of damage thus far.I did the step 2 of the Ion Booster, but ran out of time for a toner. I planned on toning the following weekend as it did look a little brighter than I wanted at first. But it dulled down to a perfect color. I just used a purple shampoo for good measure and now have a beautiful shade of sunny blond. I will stick with this bleach from now on.

~~~ COLOR REVIEWD: LIGHT ASH BROWN ~~~~I usually go to my salon but I had a conservative interview to go to and I didn't have the time or money for a last minute salon visit. Keep in mind, my hair was a challenge to begin with! First of all, my hair is very thick, long and resistant to color. Secondly, I was trying to cover up "rainbow hair" which I had faded pieces of purple, pink, green and blue all in my hair. I also had gray hairs to cover. I used two tubes of color and used 20 developer. I left the color on my hair for 45 minutes. I believe the timing issue is what possibly caused an issue here. I always leave color on for a hour to an hour and 15 min because my hair doesn't take color well. I never used Wella before so I wanted to be safe and stick to just the box instruction time. Coverage: coverage was very spotty but not bad. It covered all of my gray hairs extremely well. It also covered up all the purple, pink and blue color in my hair. However, some green pieces did remain. Some pieces were untouched and some had a sheer brown glaze over them. Thankfully, the rainbow pieces were very faded prior to coloring so it wasn't obvious unless you really looked. I'm not sure if the green pieces would've been completely covered like the rest if I left it on for the full hour? I'm going to do another round of coloring in a few days and leave it on for an hour and 15 to hopefully completely cover the green. I'm pretty confident that it will work.Color Depth: As with all DIY coloring kits, they tend to all pull dark on me. This one did as well but not as dark as most. I purchased Light Ash Brown and what I got was Medium Ash Brown. It's beautiful regardless but nowhere as light as the swatch color. Color Tone: I could cry happy tears of joy. Out of all the salon visits $$$ and all the at home coloring jobs I've done, NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING ever comes out ashy on me. I'm forever cursed with warm brassy tones. This Wella color is true ash on me. Maybe because my previous colored rainbow hair was all cool jewel toned colors that it caused my current color to be ashy. Idk, but I'm so excited. NOT ONE HINT OF RED OR WARMTH. Hair Condition: After coloring, washing and drying, my hair was extremely soft and shiny! My hair looked 100% healthier! No breakage or tangles at all. Cost/Procedure: It was well worth the trip to Sally's! With two tubes of color and all of the supplies, it only came to $20. The color form is a very thick gel and gets real goopy in the bowl midway during the process. The positive to that is that you don't experience drips. In fact, you can scoop the product out of the bowl with your hands and apply it directly to your hair. Final Thoughts: Because of the tone of this particular shade gave me and how shiny it made my hair look, I'm very pleased with this hair color. I will be repurchasing it.
i used the multi-blonde powder and my own 40v developer at home and it worked great!! i started with dirty blonde virgin hair and it turned a light yellow after leaving it on for about 45 minutes. unfortunately my toner wasn't effective but it's ok cause i covered my hair with pink anyway! simple to use, smell wasn't too offensive, made my scalp itchy but didn't burn at all, would highly recommend!!
My favourite bleach.
My favourite bleach. My hair is long and very curly but fine. Others I've used in the past have left my hair feeling really dry, and although all bleach will cause damage to your hair, my hair doesn't feel or look damaged after using this. My curl pattern looks the same and feels soft. It lightens quickly and doesn't leave my hair overly yellow. Right now I'm about a level 8 from my natural level 4. After using this I use the Wella colour charm toners and my hair looks really good...I've been to so many salons and spent hundreds trying to get my hair light but they never get it as light as I want it and I'm never happy with the result. Doing this at home by myself is so easy and I'm able to achieve the colour I want without spending £££!
Unfortunately this is yet another run of the mill hair oil.
Unfortunately this is yet another run of the mill hair oil. Granted, my hair is what you would call difficult, as my straw ends are pretty much a constant issue, even when I've just trimmed them. However, hard as it is for me to find anything that makes a significant difference for me, some products do work better than others. Well my issue with this one is that even though it is marketed as a professional product and priced like one, it performs no better than any of the drugstore oils I have tried. Therefore I reach for some of my cheaper oils much more often than I reach for this. I mean it does smooth and tame things temporarily, and thankfully it doesn't weigh hair down, but the effect is very short lasting. It does have a pretty fruity vanilla scent, but I do smell some very noticeable alcohol in the mix. I'm not sure I'm happy about that. I have no reason to repurchase this product.
