Honestly, I'm surprised to be the first reviewer of this polish.

Honestly, I'm surprised to be the first reviewer of this polish. Shades On was released as part of Essie's Spring 2016 collection and is a gorgeous mid-tone purple creme with a cool undertone. It is a bright, blue based purple shade which I believe would suit all skin tones. I got a lot of compliments when I wore this colour, and it is one of my favourite purple polishes to pull out when the weather starts getting warm. The formula is excellent, it is fully opaque in two coats and does not apply with streaks or patches. I must say all of Essie's Spring 2016 polishes which I tried had excellent formulas! It lasts around 5 days on me when paired with base and top coat and even longer as a pedicure colour, which is great as I love to wear this one on my toes. I would highly recommend this shade to anyone looking for a pretty, cool toned purple. It is an excellent colour, one which I will continue to wear a lot this Spring and Summer. A+

Really disappointing.

Really disappointing. Others have found the same so not much to say except to add another poor rating.

After using SH magnetic nail polish and loving it, I was super excited to try this one.

After using SH magnetic nail polish and loving it, I was super excited to try this one. It does not work. Maybe the magnet isn't strong enough, or there isn't enough magnetic particles in the polish, but almost nothing happens when you hold the magnet over your nail. If the print does show up, its really blurry or just on a part of your nail. So frustrating.I will never purchase this again.

This was one of the worst products ever.

This was one of the worst products ever. I bought the dark Indigo Blue Snake It Up thinking that it would be a cool polish and it turned into a total frustration and disaster. I tried to apply this polish 3 times. The magnet did not work at all, the polish was too thick, and I just ended up with a mess all over my nails trying to remove the smudged outcome of trying to apply this. My boyfriend had even tried to help me one of the times. I will never try another magnetic nail polish again and now I see why I prefer OPI to Essie anyhow. This was not a cheap failure either. A bottle will cost you $7$11 depending on where you buy it. I bought mine at Walgreens.

Two words: Epic Failure.

Two words: Epic Failure. Essie's entry into the magnetized polish field is a massive let down. I tried to make this work on 6 different occasions, trying several different ways to make the stupid magnet work. No luck. IF I got any texture at all it was random and only covered part of the nail. I gave it one lippie cus the color is a stunning indigo blue, very dense and highly pigmented. So it wasn't a total loss.
