I am not a big fan of green, esp nails. But for the holidays this is a GREAT color! Super pretty sparkly green! Like someone else said, this would be perfect for Saint Patty's day as well:)The quality of this is incredible! esp considering the price! I ordered it on Trans Design's website for $2.99 USD! It's a steal! The application is a breeze. I used OPI base coat, two coats of Mistletoe Kisses, and one coat of OPI top coat (although I'd recommend two top coats if you like a smooth feeling because the glitter makes it a little rough). I painted my nails last Tuesday and it's not Sunday night and I have NO chips, just a little minor wear around the tops from typing and household chores, etc. I lift weights, do lots of cooking and dishes and am rough with them but this does NOT come off!
I love green, but usually not on my nails. It just seems garish on my very warm skin tone and I guess it makes me feel slightly juvenile as I was such the crazy nail polish fanatic during my younger years. However, one of my friends is similarly obsessed with nail polishes and she dares to delve into more adventurous colors (and pricey nail lines), so she was kind enough to suggest that I try on her Mistletoe Kisses as a pedicure and manicure. I couldn't resist because I happen to love (almost shamefully) glitter. This seems like a tiny uniform green and silver glitter bits suspended in a clear base (well it's greenish tint, but I think that has more to do with the glitter bleeding because it's not very intense on its own?). There's definitely more green than silver (if there is silver at all? Maybe I'm imagining things?), but it's a beautiful Christmas green, although not a vibrant green. It's a true green though, but I would probably like it more if it was a bit more vibrant or darker. I did two coats on my toes, but was sure to do three on my nails to attain maximum opacity. Even with three coats Âtaking a photo of my manicure with flash reveals bald or sparse spots, but no worries, it's definitely not visible to the naked eye. It's absolutely stunning and eye-catching in the sunlight and a great candidate for any Christmas parties you may be attending. A thick layer of top coat is necessary with this one or you'll get the unattractive bumpy consistency. Plus top coat = more shine. I'm definitely loving this nail color! I don't know if I would purchase a bottle of my own because I can't see myself wearing it too often past the holiday season and I already have a green glitter (although with larger glitter particles), but definitely check it out if you're into dense green glitters.
I just got this the other day because I love the color, I havent tried it on my nails yet but it seems like it will apply the same as dorthy who, if it does I will have to up my review to 5
Gorgeous, gorgeous shade of silvery-sparkly green. Wonderful for the holidays, but I can see myself wearing it at other times of the year as well (St. Patrick's Day for an obvious one, but really anytime). The color is perfect with my cool-toned fair skin. I love it so much I might pick up a backup bottle in case they discontinue it.
