This color is so interesting! It honestly looks like coffee with a lot of creamer in it. If anyone uses OPI's Samoan Sand (which is my 'go-to' nude), this is the sliiiiightly browner / darker cousin of that polish. I can't figure out if Brooch the Subject is warm or not, so I'd say that it's simply a neutral, light mocha color. The formula is divine (liquidy but not runny) and dries super fast, so you only need 2 coats for full opacity. The first coat is streaky, but the 2nd coat evens out everything. The finish is slightly glossy, but not very much so.While it's a smidge too brown to be a true nude on me (NC25 Asian) Brooch the Subject is a lovely color nonetheless. I'd recommend this for fans of nude colors or for people who want to try brown polishes without taking the plunge into darker browns. I wear this polish a LOT because it's a chic, interesting twist to the classic "nude" and because it's mellow enough for both work and a casual day out. Plus, I love how fast it dries and its high pigmentation.
