(click continued to view swatches, property of my blog http://melliecay.blogspot.com)I've never had an urge to buy expensive nail polish.  I've had my nails done before and have had everything from OPI to Essie put on my nails while at the salon, but when it comes to buying my own polish I'm usually pretty satisfied with Wet n Wild and Sinful Colors polishes.  But when I saw these at Marshalls for $3.99 I had to try them, and I'm glad I did.  First off, the color is gorgeous, it is a true magenta (haha I even went to Wikipedia to compare my nail to shades of pink), without any shimmer or glitter.  My first coat was a little streaky, but the second coat perfectly evened out the color.  I've only had it on for a day, but have washed my hands at least 20 times since then (I work in the ER), and the polish hasn't budged one bit.  From reviews I've read on various Essie nail polishes, Essie lasts for days without chipping or cracking.  As far as how fast it dries, it dries so fast!  I literally painted my nails and went to sleep, and there weren't any notes "uh ohs" when I woke up.  Looks like Essie is turning me into a nail polish snob, how will I ever go back to my $1.99 Wet n Wild and Sinful Colors polishes?! :) continued >>

This colour is having its moment which you can see if you take your attention away from duochromes, glitters and the carribean pallete. A true Mad Men era pink coral creme that in its day came in a bottle with a facsimile of a nail on the cap. You can bet every platinum blond was sporting this in the summer of 1962. Smashing with black capris and jeweled flat sandals.

This is a very nice taupey-rose-nude color. On my light skin it looks much better without a tan. Classy shade, perfect for every occasion. Opaque in two coats :)

Very pretty muted pink-mauve polish. I'm pale and love this color on me. Nice job Essie!

i just finished painting my nails with this!!! i don't usually like pink nail polishes because i think its what people expects me to wear! but this..i love it so muuch! my nails looks so clean almost sophisticated looking! plus, it looks very nice on my skin tone (i have medium asian skin tone, i guess i will be an NC30 on mac or something closer) ! i will definitely repurchase this color! :)
