Edit to add: not sure if this is the fault of Essie or the fault of my top coat (Seche Vite) but I haven't even had my nails finished now for 24 hours, and both of my index fingers completely flaked off all the polish is gone. This has never happened to me with an Essie polish (have had some chipping but not completely lifting off) so I think it may be the fault of the Seche Vite. Going to try my regular top coat with this color again to see. Ugh. Still love this color on my nails, though!---------------------Love this color. I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but this is pretty much Chinchilly but with glitter. I think this is one of my top Essie colors, but only with two coats applied. I didn't know how thick or streaky the formula was going to be, so I applied my first coat light and it was very streaky (with a base coat). Second application, I started out light handed, but saw as I finished that a heavier/thicker second coat would have worked. I ended up having to do three coats to get the application/patchiness evenso the color on my nails was identical to the bottlea sparkly grey, which is still beautiful. However, at the 2 coat mark, I liked the color a bit better, it wasn't so gunmetal grey and complimented my skin tone (warm) better. The third coat made it more opaque grey, vs. just 2 coats let the brown undertones shine thru more. Next application, I'm going to apply the 1st coat light, 2nd coat heavier so I can keep that lighter color look. Still really pretty with three coats though!! Love.
