Essie Pool Side Service 0.5 oz - #968

This polish is truly amazing. It's one of a kind it's a one-coat-wonder. Yes really, all I needed to apply was one coat and not even a super thick coat, just the standard amount of polish I would apply when doing my nails and it looked perfect. There was no visible nail line, it was completely opaque in the single coat. There were no streaks or patches, the formula was easy to use and did not want to run into my cuticles. It applied like butter. The formula was thicker compared to most other Essies, but not so thick that it was hard to use, honestly the formula and application were a dream. Despite the thicker formula, the polish dried quickly and to a shiny finish. I wore it for 4 days with base and top coat, though it would have definitely lasted for at least a fifth day. Due to applying only one coat of polish instead of my usual 2, I was expecting a shorter wear time but this was not the case. The colour itself is a gorgeous teal, with a grey tone to it. It's not a bright colour, though it does stand out on the nail. I think it would be perfect for the cooler months even though Essie released it as a Spring colour. I think it would suit all skin tones. I would highly recommend this colour for anyone looking for a reliable polish for quick manicures, anyone who loves teal or other muted colours or anyone looking to expand their Essie collection. This unique polish with it's crazy good formula is a must-have.

I love this color! This came out last year for spring 2016 and I passed this by so many times and it just didn't catch my eye in the bottle. Then I saw it on Clare Gray's channel on YouTube and fell in love with it and had to have it. I had to search a bit for this one as it isn't readily available on store shelves but it was worth it once I got this beauty on my nails. I'm in love! This is such a wonderful color on me. It's neither blue nor green, but the perfect mix of both. I call this color teal but Essie calls it a cerulean blue. I just wore this for the past 5 days and I really wasn't ready to take it off. This is a nice cream and it goes on easily in one coat. I could have gotten by with a single coat, but I always do two and that gave it more depth and enhanced the rich teal color. The formula was fantastic for an Essie which as a general rule are hit and miss. Luckily, this one was a hit. It applied in one beautiful non streaky coat. This did not drip, pool, run, drag, or have patchiness or balded spots with multiple brush strokes. This polish was easy to apply, and best of all, when it came to removal this did not stain! That is outstanding for a blue polish. I wore this for a full workweek and this held up fine. I did get some chips on a couple of nails, but I have always experienced chipping with Essie so I wasn't disappointed. I did some minor touch ups on day 3 and it got me through to the last day just fine. I am going to try using Essie's No Chips Ahead polish in conjunction the next time and see if I can get better wear from it that way. I would have given this a 5 had this not been chippy. I really didn't have any trouble with tip wear and the color stayed strong and did not appear to fade over the week. I love this one and I am so glad that I found it. I am not a big fan of Essie polish, but this one is fantastic. Yes, please!

This shade was a great find at TJMaxx for $3.99. I absolutely love the slate blue/green/grey color. The staying power is great. Looks gorgeous when layered underneath Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel in Let's Get Digital.

Very pretty and unique! From Essie's Spring 2016 collection, Poolside Service is a grayish, greenish, slate blue creme. I don't have anything else in my collection that looks like it.Excellent formula with this one. Opaque in two coats and no problems with application or wear. However, it dries to a shade that it quite a bit darker than how it appears in the bottle. But I love the end results so that's okay. Looks creamy and shiny on the nail. I really like this one a lot.I'd definitely buy it again. Recommended!

Perfect go-to polish for feminine, pretty nails. With two coats, it's a shimmery pale-pink, slightly sheer. Love!
