Essie Strike a Pose-itano is a soft aqua blue from the 2017 Resort Collection.

Essie Strike a Pose-itano is a soft aqua blue from the 2017 Resort Collection. I often find Essie's pastels a bit "Tippex-y" on the nail, and this is no exception. However the colour is beautiful (but not as bright as I would have liked) and application was easy. The first coat was patchy, the second looked better and a top coat evened it all up nicely. I would say that this is a "beach" polish which looks fab when worn with tanned skin, sipping cocktails in the sun. I'll probably take it on holiday, but wouldn't buy it again.

Super-pretty blue glitter top coat from Essie's LuxEffects.

Super-pretty blue glitter top coat from Essie's LuxEffects. It's a mix of hex and fine glitters suspended in a clear base. Excellent formula, very easy to work with and distribute the glitter. And the shade is a lovely medium blue with a bit of silveriness to it. This polish a near-exact dupe of Sephora By OPI's Indi-Go With the Flow, if you already own one of these you probably don't need both.I love glitter top coats and I think Essie's are among the best. Removal is a snap as long as you use acetone.Love this one. Recommended!

This bottle contains a bunch of different sized glitter.

This bottle contains a bunch of different sized glitter. Kind of a silverish, blueish colour. The polish aligns nicely to the nail even when using several coats. It is possible to get it completely opaque with enough coats. This polish looks great over any other colour and can be used as a glitter gradient. After applying OPI's Matte Top Coat the flecks became even more detailed and looks fantastic. I bought this on sale (~70% off) and would probably not buy it on full price (~20 USD in my country).

I just love the Essie Luxeffects glitter polishes.

I just love the Essie Luxeffects glitter polishes. When I first saw this in the store I fell in love with it instantly. Sadly I didn't have money to get it then, and when I went back, they only had Set in Stones, so I got Set in Stones first. Eventually, I did get Stroke of Brilliance, and I can say that I'm really happy with it. This polish has about 4-5 different sizes of hexagonal silver purple blue glitter in it, and like Set in Stones, it is a different formula from the regular polish. It is a bit thicker, and it is self leveling so it ends up flat on your nails. With little effort, one can make a gradient or apply it freehand to only certain parts of one's nails. It's also a bit more subdued than Set in Stones which is really bright silver. I also really love the color. It goes well with many different colors. Another thing I love is using a matte top coat with it. It's perfect for a really pretty frosty look for a snowy day. Sometimes, I do one part of my nail with this and the other part with Set in Stones. They are really pretty together! This polish, like Set in Stones lasts a long time, and as a plus, the bottles look so pretty and sparkly sitting on your shelf.
