I hate what this costs but I keep buying it because it is so good!. I like to use it for shaping and then use Big Sexy Hair for a finishing spray. However, this holds so well I wouldn't need to. It has a way of letting you arrange your hair and then it holds it perfect. It also looks real natural and is touchable. It just cost too much! I'm glad I found it because it is a great product! I use the regular hold for shaping.

Gahhh! I bought a travel pack of this product to take away with me on holiday, rather than decanting my usual L'Oreal Professional products. That'll teach me to be lazy; I'm left with red, angry, itching and burning blotches over my scalp, accompanied by very attractive flakes. Scalp Therapy? Bah.

My all time favorite hairspray is Nioxin Niospray power hold formula. I tried this as a supplemental spray for the ends, or to keep my fringe in place. On the whole, I like this spray, but it just doesn't spray as evenly as an aerosol. This does provide a good, strong hold for my fine flyaway hair, but not as good as the Niospray. It adds a bit of shine, which is always a plus for any hairspray, as they usually just seem to dull the hair. Nioxin products in general are very good for fine, fragile hair.

This rating is for the System 5 Scalp Therapy.Minty smell but leaves build-up. Does not make my hair too limpy but also kills its natural shine. And most of all pricey and does not help my shedding.

This treatment, I believe, is potentially wonderful. This is not a leave-on moisturizing conditioner for hair, but a water/emulsion you squirt onto the scalp (via a really cool nozzle attachment) to stimulate hair regrowth (the print is so small on the bottle, I can't even read the ingredients, so I'm guessing here.) I haven't used it long enough to see if new hair is in the works, but I can hope. What's good about this broth is that it seems to be helping my scalp become healthier. I can get very itchy and flakey, but that hasn't happened with the Nioxin products. My scalp instead looks healthy and feels good. You're supposed to use this daily, but I've only been using it on the days I shampoo. This product is virtually weightless on the hair it touches near the scalp...you don't even know you've applied it. I can see these products replacing, or at least, complementing, my very favorite hair care brand, Philip B. I'm very excited to have happened onto Nioxin.
