Finally got better at makeup skills so I used this for my lid after doing my usual priming (Wet n Wild eye primer) & setting...... I'm so disappointed. This is the first ever eye product to ever crease on me. My other shadows don't do this to me. I even set it w an eyeshadow on top w a similar color, so I gave it to my sister. Never gonna use it again.
I bought this jumbo pencil to use it as an eyeshadow (not as eyeliner).
I bought this jumbo pencil to use it as an eyeshadow (not as eyeliner). I've tried to wear it a bunch of times but I had to take it off my eyes because it looked absolutely awful. The color might look full and nice when you swatch it on your hand and don't touch it but it's a NIGHTMARE TO BLEND. The pigment was nowhere to be found and my eye make-up looked like a muddy mess. It looks greasy when I try to layer it but it is terribly dry at the same time. I've noticed dryness also in other shades of these jumbo eye pencils. Quality and color payoff are poor.Since I couldn't blend it nicely in my crease, I've tried to use it on the lid as base for a similar shade of powder eyeshadow. It didn't perform any better: it made the powder eyeshadow on top crease. The color is nice but I wouldn't name it "rust", because it doesn't have that orangy tone that rust has. It leans more towards a cold burgundy.Another irritating thing is the packaging: I hate that I have to sharpen it and get my pencil sharpener all messy and sticky. They could've just put it in a twist-up pen like most stick shadows on the market.I wouldn't recommend this product at all since I can't get no use out of it and it is sitting somewhere on the bottom of my make-up drawer. If you're looking for a nice, pigmented and blendable reddish/burgundy stick shadow I would really recommend the KIKO n.37 which is a very similar shade but it's a great quality product instead. If you're looking for a reddish/orangy eye pencil to put close to the lash line I would go for the Nyx Glide on stay on pencils which are great (they have an actual rust shade which is "golden bronze")

PROSEasy to apply Creamy AffordableCONSCreases Cheap packaging (cover digs into product when opening and closing, and difficult to sharpen)Wears off When I wear eyeshadow on top, the shadow creases very badly. The red tones in this product make the green in my eyes pop, and I especially love how effortless it is to smudge this on the lower lash line. I usually use this with a cranberry shadow on top and it makes the shadow color vibrant and opaque. The biggest problem is that it creases very badly, especially with shadow on top. With primer it's not so bad. It's a pretty versatile color--depending on what you pair it with, it will show up differently. I've used it with pinks, purples, Browns, and oranges and it blends seamlessly with all. Also, i need to layer it quite a few times for it to be really true to color. I smudge it out between layers to avoid harsh lines, and that causes a bit of color loss. Overall, it's decent for the price. Wouldn't repurchase because it's got more cons than pros, and I can find similar products elsewhere. Will finish the one I have now though.
This is my 2nd Nyx Jumbo E/shadow pencil & Im really loving them.
This is my 2nd Nyx Jumbo E/shadow pencil & Im really loving them. They are so easy to use...which is nice in todays fast world...with not much time for anything it seems.I love the creaminess of these pencils...they are well pigmented & require such a little bit of smudging to get them right. I do find sharpening them a little bit of a pain & I hate that the lids crack & squish product down the pencil sometimes so I wish Nyx would fix that but on the whole, they are priced well & work well. I also love that they dont take up much space in my makeup bag on the move.Highly recommended.

i mean what more can i say? this is perfect for lining and smudging it out around my eyes when i want that dressed up eye look without having to put forth much effort. i always like to wear chocolate browns and whatnot on my eyes, and to finish off the look i just smudge this on my upper lash line and lower lash line, smoke it out a bit and it really brings out my green eyes. love rust in this pencil form and as an eyeshadow, i have bought probably 8 of these in the past few years. i will never be without! my only complaint is the cap does crack and break easily, wish they would fix that. price is right.
