The colors are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS in the pan or patted over a healthy dose of Pixie Epoxy. However, they simply do not stand by themselves. Over bare skin, most of them don't even show up let alone come even close to how beautiful the pans look. Some shades seem better than others, but all of the colors are on the sheer and unpigmented side, and the darker colors are especially quite powdery and dry. Needless to say I was rather disappointed upon the first swatchings. It makes me sad to give this a 2 because I do like this palette. I bought it as a cheaper alternative to UD's Black Palette, to supplement my collection of blackened-shimmer shades to use as dramatic liner. For that purpose this palette works fine as long as I use a sticky base first (such as Pixie Epoxy, eyelid primer, or any soft black liner); however, to give a product a good rating I believe it must stand by itself so that someone who had just this palette would be reasonably satisfied. I love the sleek black packaging, the good-sized mirror and the beautiful color selection, but the quality of the eyeshadows themselves are a total dealbreaker. If I went back in time knowing what I know now, I would still buy again just because I find it useful as a palette of occasional dramatic liner shades; I wouldn't recommend this to most people though, especially if you don't already own Pixie Epoxy or other good sticky base.Colors included in the palette:TOP ROW: 1. blackened olive gold shimmer, 2. satiny-shimmer reddish-purple over blackened base, 3. pale shimmery pink, 4. blackened green shimmer, 5. medium silvery gray shimmerBOTTOM ROW: 1. Dark blackened navy shimmer leaning violet, 2. dark orange (almost yellowy dark brown) with golden shimmer, 3. sparkly gray (slightly darker/warmer than top row gray), 4. blackened blue-teal sparkly shade, 5. medium shimmery teal.Some of them are much sparklier than others (notably the two grays, and the dark orange and dark charcoal-tealy blue shade on the bottom row) and could probably be classified as glitter.I hope my review helped decide whether or not this palette is for you.
