I was excited to see the four colors of the new NYX Holographic HALO Eye Tint! I picked up a couple of them but of the two the yellow shade really stood out for me, This is cream shadow which can be easily applied with the doe foot applicator. Be prepared to build this color up because these aren't super pigmented as I was used to from NYX. You will definitely want to use a primer. When I tried this without one it began flaking. Even with a primer this flaked a little but a primer helped it stay a few hours longer than normal. Otherwise the colors are okay, but overall I am a little disappointed with the payout and performance. The yellow shade is perfect for the corner of your eye to add a little pop of color.

This is probably one of the worst brushes I have ever used. It is prickly, sheds bristles even after washing and shaping twice, and does a poor job of laying down product. I did not go into this with high expectations, as NYX is about comparable to ELF in terms of quality of makeup, but wow... really terrible. I got this for $2 on a HauteLook.com sale, and I still feel like I was ripped off. While I was attempting to apply shadow on someone today, it left little hairs everywhere, and she complained that it was prickly to the point of painful. I was embarrassed and mad at myself that I hadn't tried it on my own eye (only on my hand, which isn't as sensitive) first. I threw it and my other shadow brush from NYX away... just a waste of money.

I had high hopes for NYX brushes. I bought this and one of the eye shadow brushes, and I am very disappointed. The packaging is good, is a matte black plastic handle with a shiny black plastic ferrule. The brush hair itself is natural bristles and black. I washed my brushes before I used them, and with all natural hair brushes I used olive oil to keep them soft, but they just never got soft. I've read other reviews raving about this brush, but I just do not like them. They do not feel soft to me, and when apply or blending shadow, I feel like the shadow blends right off. With this particular brush, I've tried many different eye shadows and I always get the same result: it just blends the shadow right off. I'm not sure if I received a dud or what, but I experienced this with my other NYX make up brush as well.

Love this brush works great in my crease (windshield washer motion) laying down just the right amount of shadow! Only wish 'Countour Dome' was written on the brush otherwise perfect brush for me!

Unfortunately, I ended up returning this brush. It looked great in the package, the display sample was really soft, and the there were only positive reviews here, but I was disappointed when I got home. The handle is all plastic which makes it look really cheap (it even had tiny bits of plastic sticking out due to the mold used for the handle if that makes any sense) and the bristles were a lil messy looking. I didn't want to judge based on looks, so I gave it a try, but it just didn't wow me. It's okay for the price, but I'm sure there are better ds brushes out there. I ended up getting a Too-Faced brush set which included a similar brush that worked better (and looked better) for me.
