Chic Red is a really beautiful color-on me it looks like a bright raspberry retro red. It's really similar to Revlon Cherries In The Snow, but Chic Red might have a creamier texture. When I first put this on, it smeared and transferred like crazy, and it got all over my teeth (even though I made sure to wipe away any of the lipstick that looked like it could get inside my mouth). It fades into a pretty stain that is sheer but still vibrant, but when it is done fading, it leaves a ring around my mouth, like thick red lip-liner. One nice thing I can say about it though, is that the texture feels like something between a lip-gloss and a lip-balm, and it is very moisturizing, even when it starts to wear off.

This is pretty its not red its a hot pink red it is a nice color and I like it a lot.

This lipstick really impressed me. I think I fell in love!!! I needed dark red lips for a costume, and I chanced upon this at a make up atrium sale. I used the Hot Red lipliner before applying this, and boy, the colour is sooo awesome! I had this lipstick on from early morning all the way to night, and this did not bleed at all AND it stayed on perfectly even after I ate! Granted though, I used a tissue to get rid of the moisture before applying it again (doing this three times), but the staying power is simply amazing. I've never had any lipsticks of this price that lasts that well! I totally fell in love with it in fact, after using this, I bought even more NYX lipsticks in this range. I'm yet to try them, so I can't judge how great this line is yet.I will definitely buy this again if the atrium sale is back where I live ( only selected NYX products are sold here ).

AMAZING! Chic Red is slightly cool-toned/berry-ish, so I wasn't 100% sure I could pull it off, but it's very wearable on my NC20 skin. My favorite thing about it is that it doesn't feather or travel outside the my lipline at all, even if I'm not wearing liner, which is very impressive for an inexpensive and fairly creamy bold red lippie. The staying power is above average; it stays shiny and comfortable to wear for about 4 hours on me, but even once it starts to wear off, it leaves a very pretty hint of a red stain. NYX gave this shade an appropriate name, it does look very chic, and I think it's especially great for fall/winter. Plus, it's hard to beat the $3 price tag. :)

I bought this on a whim yesterday to get my total price up so I could use my ULTA coupon and i was NOT expecting to fall in love with this lipstick so much! It is now my HG red lipstick. I love red lipsticks but they've always been a bit too cool or too orange for me but this is the perfect shade! I'm beginning to question my skin tone though, maybe my complexion is cooler than I thought? I just tested it out yesterday but I usually line my lips with a neutral colored pencil& fill them in with a red lipliner to help with longwear. This lipstick went on smooth, easy& creamy. It wasn't drying at all like so many other lipsticks, especially really pigmented red or pink ones. I will probably purchase multiples of this lipstick. I noticed that a lot of people mention the scent on NYX lipsticks but I did not notice anything and I'm usually pretty sensitive to that.
