so I raced out and bought the Nyx pencil in 1000 years and was very disappointed as it is no where near mac stone. the Nyx has an orange base. !!! wrong wrong wrong!!!

Just like the review below mine... I use this to line my eyebrows. I LOVE IT. I started using this last year, when I swatched it on my arm and realized that the shade is just the right kind of taupe-y, brownish, slightly greyish color that I want for my eyebrows. I change my hair color a lot, and this has been able to adapt through my various shades of brown, black, and blonde hair. I think in the past year, I must have used about 10 pencils already! I buy 3 at a time, because it's like $1.50 in my nearest Giant Dollar store.There are 2 things I don't like about this: (1) that you have to sharpen it (which is not that big a deal, but would be nice if I can just twist for more product), and (2) that it's a little on the soft, creamy side. But then it's supposed to be a LIP LINER, so not the product's fault. Other than that, no complaints. I wish NYX would make the same exact shade in an eyebrow pencil so I can get a 'firmer' product. But if they never make one, I'd be happy with this product, anyway.

CONFESION: I use it to fill my brows and its the exact color i love it.Here is what I do:First, I apply some eyeshadow primer, and then, with a light hand, I fill my brows only in the spots where I need. Then, to set the lip liner wich is a cream, I put an eye shadow of the same color.The color last forever!

Definitely a dupe for MAC Stone, which has just been discontinued. I have several MAC lipliners and several NYX lipliners, and there is not a big difference in quality. MAC has a lot of really great, unique colours. However, 1000 Years is a great dupe a neutral stone grey, good for lining to give the illusion of fuller lips.

Excellent dupe of MAC Stone lip liner. Neutral taupe lipliner that complements shades like MAC Fresh Brew. No tugging or pulling and texture is smooth, perhaps even more than MAC. These pencils are only $1.99 at my beauty supply store.
