NYX - Slim Lip Pencil - Nectar - SPL850

Thanks for the free gift with purchase, NYX! I had actually placed an order for a lip liner in a hot pink shade and was happy to find this came with it as a freebie. Nice neutral toned shade with a slight shimmer to it. I actually wore it on it's own with just a clear lip balm layered over the top, but it seems like it would pair up pretty well with a lot of nude, pale peach, beige or honey toned lipsticks.

Pretty coral-peachy-rose, but beyond shimmery! It came across as a metallic finish. I'm going to try it under some matte lipsticks or muted beige nudes to give them dimension, but on it's own it's a no go.

I also received this as a free gift with purchase. While this isn't a color i would have chosen due to it being shimmery, i wasn't exactly disappointed as NYX makes my holy grail lip liners! This color is actually very lovely and as others said i think this would be flattering on pretty much anyone just worn on it's own (i like lining my lips and filling them in with NYX liners before adding Chapstick on top and they make lovely lipsticks!) it's a shimmery golden peach color and the formula is smooth and goes on opaque easily.

I too, ordered from the NYX website and got this little pencil as a "bonus" gift. I would have never ordered it on my own, but now that I have tried it, I will buy it once it is gone. It is smooth and non drying and looks good as lipcolor on its own just outline and fill in. You can top it off with gloss for a shinier look, or put another shade of lipstick over it. I am a medium toned Asian and it is a great color on me not washed out like some nudes, but not too dark and heavy. It is neutral enough so I can see it looking attractive on a number of different skin tones. I am so picky about my lip shades and have a hard time finding the right tone sometimes, so it was surprising to see how well this pencil worked.

I ordered some products from NYX during a 30% off sale that the website was having. I opened my package and was very pleasantly surprised to find this lip liner in there that I did not order!I have never really worn lip liner before; I do remember trying it a few years ago (don't remember the brand) and it was very drying and pointless to me.However, I put this lipliner on and was so happy with it and very surprised by how much I liked it. I LOVE the color. It goes perfectly with my fair skintone and light toned lips. I immediately put lip gloss on over it and loved how it made my lips look polished and put together so much. I am going to wear ANY color of lip gloss over it from now on and I know for a fact that any color will look great. This is a very very great basic lip liner that completely changed my opinion of lipliners!
