NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream - Rome - #SMLC32

Sucks, so many colors not one that I like. Hoping this would be a nice deeper nude on my pigmented lips..On my lips it is grey mauve pinkish type color..ughhh..The scent of this product bothers me too. There are much better lip products under 6.99 that deliver a better result than this. What u see on the tube is not what you get...ughhh 😯

I seem to be one of the few people who really don't like this productI absolutely adored the colour of this particular one but that was really where the love ended. Application was a little patchy so it took a little longer than most lip products I use, but the finish started out really nice. Not two hours later though, it looked SO dry. Really didn't stand up to food at all, and I found patching the colour up not at all easy without it looking caked on. I'm not a stranger to dried out lips, mine are quite bad in general but I use lip scrub and a balm then usually i'm golden even for liquid matt lipsticks. Not so much this one, though.

I had my eye on the colour Budapest for some months now, but for some strange reason this colour isn't sold here. But after investigating I found out that's Rome is close colour wise so I bought it. It is a gorgeous dark mauvey pink, with the same soft and non-drying formula as the rest of the NYX Soft Matte lip creams. Absolutely love it, and it has earned a permanent spot in my make-up bag.

This shade, together with Budapest, are the best mauve matte liquid shades i own.They look amazing on my NC25 skin but im sure they look as amazing in other skin shades too, they take a while to dry but they dry down to a very comfortable matte finish without dryness or cracks and they last a long time. Rome and Budapest are the two shades i recommend the most to any girl who hasn't tried them yet.

This is their best shade yet. I fell in love with it the moment I put it on. Unlike other matte lip colours, adding more layers does not make it ball up, and it's not drying. It's a perfect lip product. My drug store finally got the new shades of NYX lip cream and of course the display was ransacked with almost none left. I got this and Berlin, and I asked the clerk if they are getting more in. She said there is a worldwide shortage of all the lipsticks so they won't be getting any more. I am very lucky to have this as it is a stunning shade, one shade darker than Cannes and slightly rosier. They brought back Cannes into the new line but it was sold out (it was previously my favourite shade). The Berlin is a beautiful brown, not muddy at all so I love both of these. There are plenty of darker and lighter shades in this new line but I am very happy with these, especially Rome which is as close to my perfect shade as I've seen in a long time. These are what the Lip Lingerie should have been. I have three of those and they are just unuseable. The soft matte lip creams are still the best product made by NYX and I hope they never stop making them.Note: later I got Budapest, another beautiful brown shade. I recommend all of these.Update Feb 3/17: Budapest is my favourite. It is perfection. Rome I find too pale now. Berlin too dark brown.Update July 10/17: I hated the lip creams for awhile but now I want the matte look again. I am over the paler Rome and Cannes. The only trouble is it wears off so fast, but freshly applied, there is no more beautiful shade that Budapest.
