I don't understand why people dislike this color.

I don't understand why people dislike this color. It is GORGEOUS. Quite opaque for a lip gloss and it looks very beautiful when you put it on your lips. The shimmer isn't too intense, which I appreciate. I personally love the smell of NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses, but I can see why some people don't. Unfortunately, I accidentally left this lip gloss at a restaurant right after I bought it, but I DEFINITELY will repurchase as soon as I can!

Im glad their warning consumers of the frosty look it leaves on the lips in the name itself.

Im glad their warning consumers of the frosty look it leaves on the lips in the name itself. Its a lighttt opaque pink with silver microglitter that looks plain old silver on my lips. Its electrifying, in a not so good way even when used on top of lipstick just in the center of my lips.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses are meant to "deliver shine, moisture, and softness while enveloping lips with glistening color". The finish is meant to be "both creamy and steamy to ensure knockout glamour". The formula of this gloss contains mineral oil and lanolin to condition the lips. Mega Shine glosses are incredibly popular among makeup gurus and smaller bloggers alike, so I bought into the hype and picked one up. Mega Shine glosses are available in 64 shades, so you're sure to find a shade you like. This gloss contains .37 fl oz (11ml) of product. I purchased my tube, in the shade Pink Rose, for $4.18 at Ulta. NYX's website lists the price as $5.50, so be prepared to pay a little more than I did. NYX is available online at their website and Cherry Culture, and in store at Ulta and select drugstores. NYX products are cruelty free and made in Taiwan. NYX Mega Shine glosses come in a clear, square tube. The brand and product names are written on the front of the tube. As always, NYX includes tons of product info on the back of the tube, including a full ingredient list. The tube is topped off with a black, square plastic cap with a little bow embossed on the top. That's a cute little detail. This gloss comes with a doe foot applicator that's bent at an angle. Supposedly the angle of the doe foot is meant to make application easier, but I don't see a difference. Let's be honest here, this is a lip gloss. Application does not need to be easier. If you can't master lip gloss, God bless your soul if you try something like liquid liner. This gloss' applicator is quite fuzzy which I don't like. It also tends to pull a little too much product out of the tube. Boo, potential for wasted product. Pink Rose is a really pretty color, and the name suits it quite well. The color reminds me of the corally pink mini roses my mum grows. This is a very bright pink with a slight coral tint. There's some visible shimmer in the tube but it doesn't translate onto the lips. Actually I feel like the color of Pink Rose doesn't come off as pretty on my lips as it does when I swatch it on my skin. My lips are naturally pretty pigmented, so I feel like they interfere with the brightness of this shade, which is sad. On my lips, Pink Rose doesn't look like anything special, just a straigh up pink. Swatched on my arm, Pink Rose shows it's true colors. Still a pink, but brighter, with more depth. It appears cool toned, but it has hints of coral to it, and at certain angles, it flashes a little bit magenta. I love the subtle complexity of NYX's lip colors.Pro Tips: This gloss looks great over NYX Round Lipstick in Margarita.Pink Rose is nearly opaque in one swipe, which is great if you're not looking to layer lip products. I find the finish more similar to a creamy moist lipstick than to a legit gloss. I think that's a positive quality, since this is such an intense color. I'm really liking the the texture of this Mega Shine lip gloss. It's smooth, a bit on the thicker side but not heavy on the lips. It has a little bit of a tackiness to it, just enough to keep the gloss from slipping around on the lips. Because of the tackiness this gloss stays on the lips pretty well. I get about three hours of wear from Pink Rose, which is a bitter better than I normally get from an opaque gloss. Others may get even better wear from this gloss; I tend to have a hard time keeping lip color on. Can I just take a moment to tell NYX that they need to improve the scent and flavor of their Mega Shine glosses vastly? It's terrible! The gloss smells and tastes very strongly of cherry cough syrup. Ew! Who wants to remember that taste? As a frequently ill child, I don't. I find it incredibly off putting. It makes me want to avoid this gloss.I like a lot of things about NYX's Mega Shine lip gloss in Pink Rose. The color is a lovely, opaque, complicated pink. The gloss has a good texture and it wears well. Packaging is cute, functional, and thoroughly labeled. Do I recommend this gloss? Only if you don't mind cherry medicine. I really cannot stand the flavor, so I won't be repurchasing this gloss, or others from the Mega Shine line, at least not until it's reformulated. It's really unfortunate that NYX hasn't realised how unpleasant this gloss tastes, because they've created a lip product with an excellent formula, that to me is unbearable to wear.

WHOA!!! This is my first and only NYX gloss so far (LOVE the round lipsticks!), and I really did not expect this much pigmentation and richness of color. The application is very true to what you see in the tube, which is a bright coral pink with a pearl finish. Let me emphasize BRIGHT. The formula is very emollient and comfortable, as well as reasonably non-sticky. It doesn't last more than two to three hours, but glosses never last on me anyway, so take that bit of critique for what it's worth. The tube is very similar to NARS glosses--slim, long and rectangular with a plain black cap. (I draw this comparison as NYX imitates the packaging of several HE brands such as NARS, MAC and MUFE.) Based on this color alone I wouldn't say it has the glassy shine of a NARS gloss, nor the shimmery depth. If you look closely at a NARS gloss, you can see that the shimmer has a multifaceted color range, whereas NYX's shimmer is very one-dimensional. Other, more minor quibbles: the sponge-tip applicator is attached to the shaft at an extremely acute angle, so as you pull it from the tube it gets a LOT of product that you have to scrape off. The other thing is the fragrance; I don't know what it's supposed to smell like, but the result is cherry cough syrup. GROSS. The bottom line is that this is a DS gloss with the price of a DS gloss. It's okay, but it's not going to make me stop reaching for Buxom and NARS glosses.

i love this product so much i could marry it! ive been on the hunt for a nude gloss and discovered NARS turkish delight...too bad it was $24. then i found a dupe for it in victorias secret called "innocent" for $13 which was still a little pricey for a lipgloss. then i found NYX pink frost at ulta for only $4! it works just as good as turkish delight. its my new favorite lipgloss and im DEFINETLY going to keep repurchasing it.
