Flip Flops and Crop Tops was released as part of OPI's Retro Summer collection, and is the brightest pink in the collection. It is a bright but pastel shade of bubblegum pink. I believe it would be flattering on neutral and warm skin tones in particular, I find it looks great with a tan. The polish has good staying power, lasting about a week which I find to be the average for most OPI polishes. The colour is very pretty, though the formula is not my favourite. The first coat applies patchily and is quite sheer. However, upon applying the second coat the colour becomes opaque and whilst it appears to apply with streaks, the polish does self-level and dries to a smooth finish. However, you may need to apply a third coat if you have applied quite thin layers. This polish is best applied with as light a touch as possible in order to prevent dragging or streaking. The formula was not overly thin and it did not run or migrate into the cuticles. It was not too thick either, but despite the nice consistency it was a bit tricky to work with. Whilst the finished manicure looks great, this polish is definitely one you have to sit down with and apply with care. This isn't a polish you can quickly apply before running out to an event. I rate it 4 stars because I like the colour, and once I figured out how to work the formula it did apply nicely. A good pink shade to pull out in warmer weather.
