One Chic Chick is a soft buttercup creamy eggy yellow that was released in the Soft Shades collection for 2016. This is a really pretty soft downy chick yellow and it's got a hint of gray in it. I really love this creamy pastel on my fair skin. Yellow is not usually a flattering color on me and I can't really say whether this one is or not, it isn't an obvious mismatch, but I do enjoy looking at it and that is what makes me happy. What doesn't make me happy is the fact it was a streaky application that took 4 thin coats to get the end look. This is a thin formula and while I didn't have any trouble with it running or flooding my cuticles, I did wipe the brush well to prevent that. I do love the look. But the 4 coats is ridiculous for a polish that is almost ten dollars a bottle. I'd love to recommend this for the color, but I just can't for that price. I'm happy with the end result, but I would not buy this again if I had known it would take 4 coats and truthfully it could have used 5 as there was still some visible nail line at the free edge. Not that anyone but me could see it, but I am a perfectionist and this was not a perfect paint job. Too bad as it's such a nice shade.
