The Spring 2019 Color Report

on

It’s time to switch out your wardrobe and change up your look because we’re leaving winter behind and jumping into spring. Let’s take a look at some of the hottest trends on the horizon for spring 2019.

Hair

It’s no surprise here, but pastels are in. We’ve seen Lady Gaga sport a powdery blue at the Golden Globes. The most popular pastel hair colors we’re expected to see this season are pink and lavender. But pastels aren’t for everyone. If you’re looking for a change but you want to go down the more traditional route, try one of these colors: strawberry honey, rich brunette, dusty copper, or beach brown. Add highlights or ask for an ombre to add dimension to your new look.

Makeup

2019 is the year of the bold and that goes the same for makeup. This year’s trends include a standout pout and pops of colors on the eyes. Gone are the carefully sculpted “Instagram brows” and natural, feathered brows are in. With the use of the tiniest amount of eyebrow powder and clear mascara, create a softer, more natural look. Also expected to take off this spring and summer is the “dewey” or “glossy” look. Glossy lips, dewey skin, and a rim of black liner around the eyes create a winning combination.

Nails

Keeping the traditional theme of pastels for spring, this season’s popular nail colors include Living Coral (Pantone Color Of The Year), sky blue, lavender, soft pink, chartreuse, yellow, and glitters. OPI’s Tokyo Collection and CND’s Sweet Escape Collection include both vibrant and soft shades perfect for spring.
