KBShimmer - Nail Polish - Fillin' Groovy Ridge Filling Base Coat

I tried another ridge filler first, different brand but same order. I found it gunky and it didn't dry down well. This sat untried for a while because I was less optimistic after that. I wish I had tried it sooner. I love KBS's other base coat, the hydrating base coat too, so I eventually decided to try this one on that premise. Oh my goodness. It self levels beautifully. The color is awesome as a palette cleanser, just top coat it and go. It adheres to the nail strong, to where I've actually damaged my nails when I started picking at them during a road trip. I will definitely be getting more of this. I just gotta remember to use a peely base between it and color if I'm ever going to be in a situation where I'm likely to start picking. But even then it's awesome, because if I pick off the above polish I'm left with my nails still protected and looking nice from this still on the nail.

Hard to find ridge fillers in stores now, was happy to find this here. I have very deep ridges, so it takes 2 coats. Self levels very well & gives me a perfect smooth base to start with. Very pleased.

My nails have always been flaky, leading to an uneven surface for polish, leading to lots of chipping. This product has changed everything. I've actually got manicures that last more than 24 hours now. I'll never go without it again.

Works very well. Previously I was using Olive & June's ridge filler but ridges were still very visible under 3 coats of polish. Although the KBShimmer still results in visible ridges it does do a better job of filling.
