This color is probably one of the most complimentary nail colors against my skin tone. I love wearing olive green in clothing so it was no surprise that Armed and Ready would look fabulous on me. This is a very dark olive green with a hint of grey in it. It does contain micro golden shimmer in it. With two coats of polish on, I can clearly see the golden cast on my nails. This is a beautiful shade for when you want to do a dark nail but don't want to do a red or vamp shade yet still look on trend and professional. I highly recommend this shade.

LOVE this shade. It's a greyish olive green with a hint of gold shimmer in the bottle. One coat leaves an olive green, almost opaque, and the gold shimmer is noticeable in the light. Two coats leaves a dark olive green, and the gold is less noticeable in the light. From afar, after two coats it just looks like a dark green, I really love the colour for fall. I love Essie polishes, the lasting power is great and the applicator makes application easy.

This color is gorgeous in the bottle -a dark olive green with a hint of gold shimmer. However, on the nails it leaves something to be desired. The gold entirely disappears on my nails (even in daylight), and the color comes off much darker than in the bottle. On my nails it looks like a dark flat grey with the slightest hint of olive. Definitely not as pretty as I had hoped.

I like this shade; it's a nice charcoal gray that seems to have a hint of green in it, but it looks better in the bottle. There's a beautiful golden shimmer that doesn't show normally show up that well on the nail. If you're standing in direct sunlight, it's stunning. Maybe it's worth trying with a shimmery gold as a top coat. All in all, a unique color with a great formula that goes on smoothly & opaque in 2 coats, but a little disappointing to me.

Really pretty color. I have pale skin so it looks darker, like a really dark grey/green almost black. The shimmer is too subtle to see when it is on the nail vs. in the bottle. I layered Revlon Heart of Gold FX on top and finished with seche vite (see my 2 uploaded pics).
