I'll buy more Essies, but this is a limited edition colour.

I'll buy more Essies, but this is a limited edition colour.I love this colour, its a beautiful taupe, mushroom like with a lovely subtle blue shimmer. Its neutral, its sophisticated, its a great fall/winter/spring colour for those gloomy days or when you want a darker neutral without it being a vamp.My bottle is the European/Australian version with the name on the top of the bottle and the wide thick brush, unlike the US version with the name on the bottom and the thin brushes. Because the brush is nice and thick and wide, I can cover the entire nail in 1-3 strokes easily, I can be very quick and get good coverage (unlike the thin brushes which seem to require lots of little strokes).Formula its thick, its almost opaque on the first coat. Its a matte polish so it dries super quick and doesn't self level. You have to be super quick with a light hand to get your coverage. Because its thick and sets quickly, it doesn't pool but i didn't load my brush right up either. The thicker flatter brush was a huge advantage with this polish, I could do my pinky finger in one stroke, and most nails in 2-3 strokes which meant I got very even level coverage. Because its matte I'm not expecting super long wear time but I've worn it to work all day today, I've typed a lot and its wearing beautifully. I'm very happy with the result.I like this polish and will definitely be revisiting it in future.

The color is absolutely beautiful, and perfect for fall/winter.

The color is absolutely beautiful, and perfect for fall/winter. It is a darker taupe color with subtle iridescent purple. One of the products downfalls is that it does dry VERY quickly, and even after only applying two coats the formula is rather thick. The finish is a satin matte, which I was unsure of at first but I absolutely LOVE the finish. Another downfall though is that without a top coat, it tends to chip rather easily. More easily than other Essie polishes. But when you apply a clear top coat, you lose the satin matte finish which is the best part of the polish. If only Essie had a top coat specifically for this collection!

This is an absolutely stunning color, an amethyst-toned taupe with subtle iridescence.

This is an absolutely stunning color, an amethyst-toned taupe with subtle iridescence. The formula is easy to apply, but it does dry very, very quickly, which means it's not self-levelling and any imperfections are there to stay, so you do have to apply it carefully. The finish is a satiny matte, which is not as flat as a true matte and quite beautiful. If you want a change from the matte finish, you could always add a shiny top coat and end up with a gorgeous shiny color. The only criticism I have is that the wear is not that great I only applied it yesterday (without any type of top coat) and already I'm seeing tip wear on six fingers.

This is the one color from Essie's new Cashmere Matte 2015 Spring Collection that I really, reall...

This is the one color from Essie's new Cashmere Matte 2015 Spring Collection that I really, really like and might consider purchasing again. This and Coat Couture had the best formulas of the collection and were the easiest to apply and get a good look with. They were still a tiny bit streaky and difficult to work with because they dried so fast, maybe even too fast! But the streaking is not as noticeable as with the lighter 3 colors of the collection and if you apply quickly, have enough polish on your brush and turn your fingers to level out the polish as you apply you can get by with only 1 coat. It sounds like more work than it's worth but the color makes it all alright. Bonus: it looks really, REALLY pretty underneath OPI's Snow Globetrotter!
