I was a little hesitant about this color as it looks a little brownish online, but when I got it and put it on it can be gray in some lights and a dark taupe in other lights, and I love the copper shimmer underneath it all. It's perfect for a fall manicure!

I ordered several gel polishes and this is the only one I’ve worn so far. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I was on the fence about ordering from this website due to bad reviews.
With that being said, this color lasted well over a week and I really liked the color. A mix between gray & brown with a slight shimmer. I have only used gelish nail polish before this and I do not like the essie brush quite as much, but maybe I’m just not used to it yet.
All the polishes I ordered looked new/not counterfeit and I’m happy with my purchase.

I love this polish. Generally my experience with Essie polishes have been hit or miss as far as formula and ease of application. This one was a definite hit for me.Social-Lights is a mid tone gray polish loaded with copper shimmer. For me the shimmer was very evident in various lighting. The formula was good. It wasn't too thick or thin so application was easy with no running or pooling. It applied smoothly and evenly and was opaque with two coats.Packaging is the standard Eassie polish bottle with their standard thin brush. While I generally am not a fan of their brushes with this formula it wasn't a problem.I bought this on EBay for around $7, slightly below retail. I would repurchase this polish at full price as I like it that well.As unbelievable as it seems I got a full week of wear with no chipping until day 7. Removal was easy and there was not staining.

I am giving up with Essie's shimmery polishes as this is another one that didn't work for me. Sadly my polish wasn't loaded with copper shimmer like the previous reviewer. If you looked closely in certain lights (sunshine and fluorescent) then the shimmer was there, but other than that it was just a grey chrome effect. The polish applied smoothly in two easy coats but if you're looking for the copper shimmer Essie promises you are going to be very disappointed.

Social-lights is a part of Winter 2017 Collection. It's a grey polish loaded with copper shimmer. I was worried that the shimmer would not be as apparent on the nail, but it shows up beautifully. The formula is brilliant too. I think with a careful application this could be a one-coater, but I used 2 coats. I know Essie polishes in the US have a thinner brush, but here in Europe the brushes are a lot wider and easier to work with. This polishes wears really well too. I am really feeling this shade this time of year. I have nothing negative to say about Social-lights. I would highly recommend this polish.
