I can't stop looking at my toes because this color is so gorgeous! It applied super-easily and was opaque in one coat, but I added another to make it a little darker. This is exactly the type of red I was looking for--muted, cool and not too dark. I highly recommend this shade!

I expected this to be a bit brighter.

I expected this to be a bit brighter. It is quite muted, cool and definitely a darker red but not so dark as to be vampy. I like it and I find it looks quite elegant especially in fall and winter, it would be perfect if it were just a little brighter. If you want something that makes a colour statement but is not too loud, this could be it. It is totally office appropriate. It does however go on a little unevenly I do not know if this is the shade itself or the base coat (first base). I applied 3 coats before I got the result I wanted. I am using this with Essie's base and topcoat and it is wearing pretty well considering that my nails are very prone to chipping. I probably will not purchase this again although I might.

I bought this about 4 months ago. I read about the color on a polish blog or Essie's FB comment page. Was very sad to find out it was not one in Essie's normal retail group. But, the nail polish fairies were looking out for me & I bought this from a very nice ebay seller. As with most Essie colors, I love it! It's a beautiful blue-red, cream finish. As others have mentioned coverage is good enough I could have gotten away with one coat, but I went for 2. Applies like a dream and self-leveling. Plenty of shine on its own, but I still added topcoat.I have yet to find an Essie I'm unhappy with, but will certainly review if it happens.

Even though I wouldn't purchase again because I have so many polishes, this is a great fall red. This is a very pink leaning red not what I would call cranberry. The formula was great as others have remarked but I'm not a fan of Essie's brush it's too thin for my nail beds.

I am not a huge fan of this cranberry color, but the application is a dream. The brush is small and easy to maneuver, the polish is streak free and fairly opaque. You could easily get away with only one coat, because it gives you full coverage. I would recommend using a base coat even if you normally don't, just to make sure this polish won't stain your nails. This isn't one that I use a lot, but it is definitely worth your time and money if you love deep reds/cranberries.
