It goes on smoothly, I've used it as a liner and to fill in my lips completely. It has an amazingly velvety texture, I didn't expect that from a pencil. The color is lovely and very much on trend right now. When I sharpen it the point does tend to snap off, but I am not sure if that's the product's fault or mine because this is the first lip pencil I've used. The price was great, around $4. I can't wait to purchase more colors from this line. Oh and NYX being cruelty free is wonderful!
NYX lip liners are a great product and a great value.
NYX lip liners are a great product and a great value. Nutmeg is too dark for me ~ I will save it for winter. The consistency of the pencils are soft, which is a positive for me. I like the NYX lip liners, just not this color...

Love this lipliner! This is the darkest warm shade I have: the NYX Progression is Natural, then Coffee, then Nutmeg. Good for nice warm browns/russets and even warm reds if they are not too blue. All NYX lipliners that I own are usuable for settting glosses, depending on the color of the gloss. NYX lipliners are highly pigmented, last a very long time on, the pencil keeps its point well and isn't too soft that it breaks off during use, but not so hard that it is difficult to use. The pencil sharpens easily with just maybe 1/2 a turn in the sharpener, and it doesn't splinter or crack when sharpened, either (I hate that!) This is the best lipliner I've used and there is no need for me to go back to Mary Kay, Jordana, NYC, EL, MAC, Lancome or WnW. Thanks NYX!
