*EDIT* Since I first wrote, I have discovered that this colour is not so unique after all. Revlon Super Lustrous in Wild Orchid is very similar a little more lilac and with a very faint pearly sheen. I tested them on my lips side by side and they looked almost identical on the lip maybe Chloe had more of a colour "pop". I have also read that it is a dupe of MAC's Show Orchid though I don't know by personal experience how close it is. As the Revlon lippy is a reasonable price, creamy and does not have the odd smell/bitter flavour, I'm switching my loyalties that way.Chloe is a magenta pink with fine but noticeable purple micro glitter. The texture is extremely light and somewhat sheer when I first swiped it on I thought "uh-oh, this isn't going to last long at all", but it has staying power similar to a few of my favorite Revlon lip butters. Despite being sheer it has a satisfying colour pop and is buildable. It's non-drying in my experience and in fact feels quite moisturising. I've never really come across a colour quite like this before, because the purple micro-glitter oh, it makes what would otherwise be a perfectly pleasent cool bright pink lippie into something alltogether more glamorous. I can just about get away with this in the daytime, because to be honest a colour this great deserves to be rocked without apology at all times of the day, but night time is probably the time it is designed for. The packaging is pretty cheap it doesn't look too awful but seems flimsy to me and I have no doubt it will let me down at some point. For a product this cheap I'd expect corners to have been cut though, and if it ever does break I'll just melt the lipstick into a pan or buy another. One thing I really do not like at all is the smell it reminds me of bathroom cleaning products, and sometimes there is a harsh, bitter or waxy taste. It does fade, but not enough for my liking. Could be a dealbreaker for this product despite my immense love for the colour. This is my first NYX lipstick and in general I am very impressed, and I have said I will buy the product again... but that means getting used to the scent.
