Fantastic product! I have fine, blonde, chin-length, non-color-treated hair and have been using this daily for over 15 years. It has the consistency of a thick liquid, easily dispensed with the pump on the top. I use about one pump on towel-dried hair and just disperse it evenly with my fingers, mostly near the roots, prior to blow-drying (using warm air, without much brushing) It gives a fairly natural body boost to my hair with no sticky residue, dullness, or stiffness. I periodically try less expensive alternatives but no luck so far. They did temporarily discontinue it a few years back but it seemed about the same to me when it was re-released with new packaging. Other than the high price, it's a great product and I will continue to use it daily.

This product was a FIVE before they reformulated it. The old formula gives me perfect hair the new formula, in the black bottle, gives me hard crunchy hair and the curls just don't look the same. Fortunately, I was able to find the old formula, in the white bottle, online. I have super curly(4a/3c) hair and the old formula gave me perfect curls without having to use a leave-in conditioner. I will stock-up while I can still find it......What were they thinking? Also, the old bottle was 8.5oz and the new is 5.1oz...what a rip-off. I'll give it a TWO for the smell and the pretty bottle.

I LOVE this product it my favorite texturizing product! I've got super-fine hair and this doesn't weigh it down at all like a lot of other products do. It adds gorgeous texture and eliminates fly-aways and frizz. It's not designed to give "hold" like gel for example so if I want that I use another product as well, this really just gives texture and frizz-fighting and it does that perfectly! The other bonus is that if I want to give my hair a break from the dryer and leave it to air dry, I just spread this through, leave my hair to air-dry and my hair looks great! A little of this product goes a long way so be careful you don't pour too much out of the bottle because this product is slightly runny.

This works very very well for my chin-length fine hair. It doesn't weigh it down and makes it a bit "stiffer" so it holds the style better. Will certainly buy again and I highly doubt I will go back to my mousses and gels!

Smells like canteloupe/banana and is a pretty bronze color, but those are really the only redeeming qualities. No hold, no texure for my slippery, shoulder-length, piecey hair. I'm always disappointed by Sebastian products, I should know better than to purchase.
