Shade 7AA. Wella Color Charm is known for its excellent color range and as well as great gray coverage. Did my girlfriend's hair today, and it came out FANTASTIC. She had a LOT of gray showing through and was originally BRUNETTE, so was sure to generously apply for even coverage. Mixing formula is 1:2 meaning for each bottle of liquid color (Medium Blonde Intense Ash) with 3 ounces of 20 volume developer. Actually being my friend has very thick hair and somewhat medium length, played it safe and used two bottles. Poured in some argan oil for extra conditioning, but just as good is olive or coconut oil. So, two bottles plus 6 oz. of 20 volume developer. Love Clairol Soy4plex, so I used that. Mix is all together. Used a plastic fork! Use only plastic bowel and brush for use with hair coloring and NEVER anything metal. Allowed to process for 45 minutes after I finished application.Didn't even condition that much used Dove Intense Restoration Mask, Quench Absolute (very good and reasonably priced) for only 5-10 minutes or so. If your hair is damaged, leave your deep conditioner/mask on an hour or more. The results were absolutely FABULOUS. Extremely even coverage, and being there was quite a bit of gray to begin with color did not come out too dark at ALL. This shade is excellent for someone who originally had dark hair but wants to lighten up a bit. Too dark hair is very AGING. My tip when covering gray is be careful about going too DARK. That will look unnatural, even though the color will lift with shampooing. Darker shades result in a luminous translucent shade. Color was so very NATURAL, and my friend's hair was in lovely condition with shine, shine, SHINE! So smooth and shiny, didn't even have to use my flatiron. Wish I had taken a photo so I could post here. Yeah, I was very proud of myself. Bought this locally for $3.69 a box, so a great value and professional results.
