This seriously burns my scalp if I use anything over 10 vol peroxide with it. I dont use this anymore because it still stings even with 10 vol but it does work. The only reason this wouldnt work is if the hair wasn't light enough. Hair needs to be a pale creamy yellow, like the inside of a banana. Also if you have damaged parts to your hair then toner will cling to them and go grey/silver leaving a patchy result, same if you have lighter/darker parts in your hair, the colour will turn out patchy then too. Also, dont leave it on too long, check it every few minutes. I only ever needed to leave this on for 5 mins. Everyones hair is different though so for best results keep checking it, especially on the lengths and ends.

Alright so I've used all of the wella toner shades many times and am very familiar with the bases by now. They are great for both professionals and inexperienced newbies. You just have to understand the color wheel, starting shades, and bases. T18 (white lady) only has a violet base. Meaning it will only neutralize yellow.The biggest issue people face with T18 White Lady is that their hair isn't light enough. If your hair is even a tad darker than level 10 blonde, forget it. The violet pigment in this needs to be darker than the hair applied to, and with warmth that is sort of hard to gauge for most. So I'll just say this your hair better be the palest shade of yellow. Not gold. Pale yellow.A tip I'd like to offer from experience is let this process a bit BEFORE applying. I find that you get more ash if it's oxidized about 20 minutes before using. T11 is probably my favorite at the moment but it's a bit warmer (gold-violet base) and can cover slightly darker hair than the t18. So keep that in mind if t18 doesn't work out for you. T14 is much darker/grey but can work on orangey gold hair. T10 is straight up grey...but the starting hair shade needs to be even lighter than for t18.

Turned my blonde hair BIG BIRD YELLOW!! my hair wasn't this bad to begin with WTF

I was hoping someone could advise me. I have my hair bleached at the salon. I do not trust myself to do it. My hair is bleached to light yellow blonde and t18 takes out the yellow. But I feel I'm a little too icy. Almost grayish. Especially after freshly done. I want more of a white, not silver or Gray. Are there any other toners I could add to put a small bit of warmth to negate this silver? It looks good after it fades a bit, but this waiting period til then drives me nuts. I was wondering about the others t10, 11, 14. I've been reading up. Would it be better next time to mix t18 with another toner or a completely different toner or combination to achieve white/vanillla vs silver/gray?

This product is SO good! I have been bleaching my hair for 3 years now and usually am never able to get further than the usual banana yellow colour and so have just gone years with this colour. I was told to use this product and I am SO glad I did! It turned my hair pure white! I feel like a Disney Princess😎 (I've uploaded a before and after to the gallery, I forgot to take a proper before picture so used a picture that shows my hair colour best in the natural light).
