I have been experimenting with demi permanent hair colour since going from blonde to red about 4 months ago. I started with Wella Colour Touch 7/43 and moved onto Goldwell Pomegranate.Anyway, I have a few greys to cover and Colour Touch Plus was recommended for this purpose. I chose the colour 66/44 which is deep, blonde intensive red, You can apply it on towel dried hair or dry hair for a more vibrant effect. I chose to apply it on dry hair, mostly because of the few grey hairs I needed to cover. I applied it to the roots using a tint brush and then rubbed the rest through the ends using gloved hands. I left it on for 15 minutes.I am terrified of damaging my hair and this product is mixed with 13 vol peroxide making it demi permanent. You could also mix it with 1.5% activator, but I chose to use 4%. You can check my photos for pictures of how this turned out, but I can honestly say that this causes no damage to your hair and my hair feels really nice. The colour is the best red that I have been so far and for now, I will probably stick with this colour.

Love this brand for professional hair colour that can easily be recreated at home.

Love this brand for professional hair colour that can easily be recreated at home. Coverage is good and natural; leaves hair in very nice condition ; is versatile in that you can mix a variety of different shades...it does fade as it is a demi; however the upside is that it does not damage hair so even if u have to touch up roots , greys, etc once a month, your hair will still be healthy. This is not like an average d/s box dye-they tend to be harsh on hair...also the corresponding developer from Wella Color Touch ( red label; white bottle) is excellent and smells good too ( somewhat apple like). Overall, very impressed with Wella CT as the color goes on rich and smootly; i.e. no flat color.5 lippiesðŸ˜Å

OK, so I recently changed from platinum blonde to red due to massive chemical damage caused by careless hairdressers. Needless to say, I was terrified of further damage. The salon I went to used Wella Colour Touch in 8/43 (Light Blonde Red Gold) and applied it all over my hair. My hair was so richly coloured and it felt amazing. I am currently maintaining it myself by applying Wella Colour Touch 7/43 (Medium Blonde Red Gold) every two weeks over my entire hair. (There is a picture on my profile page). I have a tiny amount of grey and it blends it all beautifully. I prefer the 7/43 to the 8/43 because i think it is slightly less "carroty". You mix this 1:2. So whatever amount of colour you use, you must use double the activator solution which is 1.5% hydrogen peroxide. This is merely to deposit the colour and will not do any damage. I actually think my hair feels and looks much better. I can use half a tube for my shoulder length hair. I section my hair at the front and apply using a tinting brush to the root area. The I just slather this on to the ends using gloved hands and make sure I rub it in well. If I have one fault with this, it is that it fades fast. Two reasons for this 1. It is demi permanent and 2. Red hair fades faster than any other colour. I get around this by doing it every two weeks.

I was really wanting to warm up my color for fall and go from light brown hair with highlights to a nice brownish-red color. I did a bunch of research and decided on Wella color charm permanent color in allspice. It ended up too light and too orange so I added a semi permanent Wella color chestnut which turned it weird orange and purple. I saw this on eBay in 5/4 light brown red and bought it. I read online that you could lighten your hair color with peroxide and baking soda (really bad idea) I gave that a shot, it took the purple out of my hair but left it really dry. I figured what the hell and put the color touch over it left in for 20 minutes, mixed 1-2 with well activating lotion and my color was perfect, exactly what I envisioned in my head when I started this process. I'm going to add a few highlights in a week or so and buy the rest of the color touch 5/4 on eBay! I absolutely love it. Smells good, mixes well, left my hair in better shape than I started with and turned the perfect color. Thanks Wella!

I used to use this all the time when i was a brunette, still to this day i use it on clients.

I used to use this all the time when i was a brunette, still to this day i use it on clients. The relights are really good to use as toners with the 1.9%. What peoples don't really know is that when you use colour touch a few times (especially if your hair is on the darker side) it become permanent, as colour touch is only a "quasi" meaning it is a little stronger than a semi-permanent but not as strong as a permanent. This means it can fade after a few washes. To the decrease the rate of fading, use a colour care shampoo, or if you are using it to colour blonde hair, a silver/blonde or purple shampoo should help. Box colours (colours you buy in the stores) can be really harsh on your hair, no matter what the advert says. Box colours contain metallic salts that are so damaging for your hair. This doesn't mean you will see it straight away, but it can leave and underlying effect on the cuticle that can affect further treatments. Because of this, and because some people are allergic to colours its always important to to a 48hr colour test before application of colour touch. This means apply a small amount of the colour (mixed with peroxide) to the inside of your elbow, leave for 15 mins and then wipe it off. DON'T wash it off. Leave it for 48 hrs any if there is any redness or irritation do NOT use this product. I love this product, its so versatile. Its not harsh on the hair. I love Wella I've used them for years!I would recommend!
