I'm in love with this polish! I do about three coats to get my nail completely covered in those beautiful pale gold glitters. I've been searching for a polish that can replace my Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail polish strips in Glitz Blitz and it's PERFECT. exact dupe and stays on the same amount of time!! My nails LITERALLY chip within a day because I'm "active" and I get my hands dirty alot (yes I apply top coat), but the SH nail strips lasted 2 weeks+ (had to remove because my nail bed was growing out faster than it would come off). And just fyi, one of those weeks was spent roughing it up on a mission trip and doing community service, etc. It literally didn't chip AT ALL, not even the slightest bit. After using this polish, it is still on my ring finger (only applied on one finger) and it's been on for a week. Same as the SH nail polish, versus my usual pet peeve of facing chipped nails, my new pet peeve is the bottom of my nail bed, but I can't do anything about that haha. I guess the glitter just grips especially well, but I love it! I believe it's discontinued, but I'm not sure I got it on ebay!

This is such a gorgeous nail polish! It's a white jelly with opalescent square and round small glitter. At first glance the glitter looks like a light gold, but it flashes colors in the right light. This polish is totally unique in my collection of 350+ nail polishes. My one gripe is application. I'm ok with it being sheer, and I actually like that it's sheer (love me some jellies!) but it is a streaky, goopy PITA to apply. I read a review on a blog though where someone added a little clear nail polish, and a little thinner and it made application much better. This would definitely get 5 out of 5 if it wasn't for the application issues, but I still think this is a must buy from China Glaze because it's so pretty :)

Cloud Nine is part of China Glaze's "specialty collection" of 50 polishes (mostly glitters).

Cloud Nine is part of China Glaze's "specialty collection" of 50 polishes (mostly glitters). This polish is a sheer white base with fine glitter that flashes orange/gold or blue depending on the light. I really like the effect of the glitter in this one. A lot of times, half my nail would be showing blue glitter, and the other half would be showing orange/gold. It's a subtle effect and completely unique in my collection. Because the base color is white and the glitter isn't ultra-blingy, you could probably wear Cloud Nine in all but the most conservative of workplaces. Application was unfortunately very difficult. The formula was very streaky. Things improved a bit with thinning, but I did not think to thin the polish until I was on coat number 3. Also, I don't like to have to thin a brand new polish. I painted three coats, and I could still see my nail line. I think another coat or two might have made it totally opaque but 4-5 coats is a bit much for me. I think that I will put Cloud Nine over a coat of plain white polish next time I wear it.I can't really comment on wear because I tried Cloud Nine with a basecoat I was testing that turned out not to work well with any polish. Removal was not bad for a glitter. I didn't have to soak off this polish, but it did require a bit of extra elbow grease.Overall, Cloud Nine is a lovely and unique color, but the application issues bring down my rating.
