Very soft, shiny, sheer, and slightly off-white with cool undertones.
Very soft, shiny, sheer, and slightly off-white with cool undertones. I rarely wear white polishes because my skin is so pale and cool-toned, it tends to look really weird, but this is really quite flattering on my nails. One coat is pretty sheer and wildly glossy, and obvious enough as an actual polish that it doesn't deaden the colour of my nail beds so that my hands look anemic. Two coats is still sheer, but much more opaque than a single coat, so it can be said that this definitely builds up. A third coat gives near opacity. I think this is very well-named, because it does have an almost ethereal quality to it, a softness and translucent quality that many people associate with the moon and moonlight. Might make nice tips for an American manicure (not stark enough for a French), and it will make good undies for various glitters and special effects top coats when I want a really soft, translucent white base. It would also work very well for a "glitter sandwich" style manicure, because it is pretty sheer. If you're into white polishes, this would make a nice manicure on its own, subdued but definitely present, depending on how many coats you used. So, all around a very nice, versatile polish with lots of possibilities.
This is a sheer white jelly which I use for white tips on a natural "French" style mani.
This is a sheer white jelly which I use for white tips on a natural "French" style mani. One coat of this on the tips, one coat of Essie Mademoiselle, then a top coat. Oddly, the bottle lettering has been flaking off, leaving black specks on my hands, hence the 3 rating on packaging.

Carnival Lights is a delightful mix of silver microglitter and holo hex glitter in a reddish pink semi-sheer base. One coat gives a pink tint and a decent amount of glitter, but both color and glitter coverage are much better in two coats. The formula is thin, so be sure to wipe the excess polish off your brush to avoid blobs. It dries to a surprisingly smooth finish (use a coat of thick topcoat if you want it glassy smooth) and the holo glitter really sparkles in the light. I love using it for pedicures. It's a part of the China Glaze specialty colors line, which is available from many online retailers for very reasonable prices. There are about 35 glitters to choose from, some better than others, and Carnival Lights is one of the good ones. I wouldn't buy it again simply because I don't use it very often.

someone on nail board asked for a White Jelly (it looks like jello, squishy, kind of sheer) and a reply was this product. I love all-white nails esp for summer, its a summery vamp (another nailboard gem of a description) and i love jellies so I had to have this. It was only $2 at Sallys, so I wish I bought them out. you have to put on a bunch of coats, and wait for each one to dry fully before applying again or else your brush is gonna take off some polish and leave a hole! its a gentle all-white nail look, as the non-jelly all-white is much harsher. the finish is beautiful and thick but light and airy at the same time. it looks bouncy, its such a nice jelly!
I'm glad I bought this! It doesn't streak and the coverage is buildable.
I'm glad I bought this! It doesn't streak and the coverage is buildable. Can be used for a mani, alone, over (to soften colors) or under (as a base) other colors. I applied this over a girly pink polish I had on and it turned into an almost white w just barely there pink undertones. Looks fab on my brown skin. I applied about 4 coats and it took a bit longer than average to dry. Was worth it tho. Got it for $2.50 clearance at sallys. Now that I've used OPI pro wide brush, all other brushes suck!!!!
