White On White is [surprise] a white creme shade, and it is in China Glaze's core collection. I know that white polish shades are very difficult to work with, but this polish stands out as the worst of the ones that I've tried. After three coats this polish is still uneven and very streaky; with regular creme polishes three coats is my max, but because white shades are pains I went to four coats = still horrible and it needed removing straight away as it is so gunky and unsightly. I've never managed to wear it properly the times I've applied it, as it is impossible for me to get it to look anywhere close to presentable.Even worse is the thin, streaky formula, that never levels out and floods the cuticles. Also: I found White On White to be slow drying after the second coat, and after topcoat and quick dry drops the polish still remains dentable for around two hours. Into the bin it goes, as I can't get it to work and I don't want to give anyone such a hideous product. For a white polish I recommend OPI Put A Coat On (it's a white base, but it is fully opaque in 1 to 2 coats), or Pretty Serious Presence (takes 2 coats rather than being a 1 coater as advertised, but it has a nice smooth & long-wearing formula).
As mentioned in previous reviews white is known to be a difficult color to work with.
As mentioned in previous reviews white is known to be a difficult color to work with. White on White is no exception. As the name would suggest this is a pure white colored cream finish. I decided to use this as part of my Halloween nails this year.Unfortunately despite the fact that this bottle is over a year old the formula was very thin and runny. It is a major flooder and difficult to work with even though I wiped the brush several times per nail. It still ran down the brush onto my nail flooding my cuticles and overflowing onto my fingers themselves. The first coat was streaky and patchy. With the 2nd coat it reached full opacity and smoothed out for the mos part. It still didn't look very good though as it was a bit streaky. As I was using a topper with this one I decided not to do a 3rd coat.White on White comes packaged in the standard ChG bottle w/the standard brush. Though the polish isn't my favorite because of the issues mentioned above, the packaging is fine.Ulta had this one on sale last summer so I think I paid about $5.00 for this. You can get ChG online for less per bottle but for a brick and mortar store this wasn't a bad price.I would not repurchase White on White. The formula just isn't that good though I do like the overall color. If you are interested in a white polish I would suggest you give this one a pass and look for another brand.

I bought this hoping it would be an improvement over other whites that I've tried and been disappointed with. It has a thin workable formula but it pretty much performs like most whites streaky and needs 3 coats, dries to a chalky finish. I got this in a set with 3 other polishes that I like so it wasn't a total loss but I'm still looking for my perfect white polish.

I've been polishing my nails white since forever, so I've used/tried countless different brands for white polishes. Believe me when I say ALL white polishes are going to be somewhat streaky & need at least 2-3 coats. It's not because the formula is bad, it's because that's just what the color white does in general. It's probably if not the hardest, one of the hardest colors to make opaque with one coat...it's pretty much impossible to find that in a white nail polish. That being said, this white was no different (but I already know this from experience with this color, so I expected that realisticly). The only effective way I've found to help this problem, is to first paint a base coat in a neutral color...once dry, start painting over it with the white. It will be less streaky & become opaque easier/faster. This white is a great formula (for a white). It dries pretty fast & doesn't chip too easily. I would definitely buy this again. Only thing is you have to understand what to realisticly expect when you use a white polish....IT WILL be somewhat streaky, they ALL are.
This was my first white nail polish.
This was my first white nail polish. I got this in the mini size and couldn't wait to use it, knowing China Glaze was a good brand I expected it to be a good quality white. I was wrong. I don't like the formula at all. It's thin, streaky and clumpy. It's VERY streaky, and VERY thin. It takes me about 3 coats to get it a nice solid white color and its really clumpy. Even after the second coat I can still see streaks. Not worth the money!
