CND Shellac is a designed with a unique soak off gel polish formula that is currently making it the best selling gel in the world. The Shellac gel will cure beautifully under UV lamps and will last for up to 2 weeks. The perfect mirror finish is gorgeous and will remain chip resistant making it best for manicures. Directions: Shake to blend. After applying and curing Shellac Base Coat, apply a thin layer to all 5 nails. Cure for 2 minutes in the CND UV Lamp. Repeat on other hand. Apply second coat of Color using the same process. Follow with Shellac Top Coat. One of my favorite colors!

Since I started doing my own gel nails, CND has proven to be the longest wearing and most shiny. Satin Slippers is the perfect pinky beige colors - like a ballet slipper only better. It’s beautiful and a classy neutral - love!

Great base for french or other nail art

I love this polish. My manicurist uses it as the base when I do french tips or nail art where I want a natural-looking base. It is very light and very natural looking. These photos are two thin coats of satin slippers, and as you can see it looks like my natural nail. It's natural looking enough that when my nails grow or the polish inevitably starts to lift away, you can't tell just by looking at my nails. That's part of the reason I do this so often because it grows out prettier. :)

All that said, I love it for my use, and I knew when I bought my own bottle what to expect. But as others noted the photo is a bit deceiving because it looks more opaque. It's a great product as long as you know what to expect!
