This is a review after three days of wearing, daily shower and dish washing with a sponge. I bought this top coat with two other CND vinylux polishes. I applied two coat of vinylux polish then one layer of top coat. They dried fast to touch within 10 mins but the deeper layers were still dent-ale, not until few hours later then completely dried. Vinylux series isn't beginner friendly. It has it's pros and cons. I'd say their pros are fast drying and has a great brush, reasonably priced. The cons are Vinylux has a rather liquid-y formula so you need to use "float" application. It's formula isn't shiny and it has a matte finish. I'm not impressed with it's self-leveling ability. Since it doesn't require a base coat, it's thin and not very good at self-leveling plus fast drying, it shows every imperfection of your nails. For instance, if you have ridges in your nails, you will still see those after three coats of color and one top coat. Finally, with a matte finish of color, even with this gel-like top coat, it's still not shinny enough to say "gel-like". I'd say Essie gel couture top coat has better shine and has a much thicker formula to claim more "gel-like". In terms of long-lasting, With three days of wearing with daily shower and dish washing with a sponge (I haven't even washed my hair yet), the index finger of my dominate hand has a tiny chip at the edge around the corner. Every other fingers looks just fine like the first day. So my verdict would be it's a decent product but nothing ground breaking amazing. Would it last for a week? I doubt it. Would it chip a lot? I don't think so. It's better than some but surely not the "holy grail" polish :)
