the best color ever!!! i love layering it on top of my Cherry Pop polish =)
LOVE this polish! It is opaque in the bottle, but comes out very sheer when applied.
LOVE this polish! It is opaque in the bottle, but comes out very sheer when applied. Two coats makes the nail look super shiny, and natural--there is just a hint of milky white and the teeniest hint of shimmer of you look REALLY hard in the sunlight. It smells different than most polishes (maybe that glue-y component that another member mentioned). Overall, the perfect polish for natural, shiny, bright, clean looking nails. Definitely recommend. :-)
I was a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding, and this was the nail polish I used.
I was a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding, and this was the nail polish I used. In the bottle and on the Essie website, Vinyl Bikini is a translucent, foggy-looking white colour. If you look really hard, you can see a fine white shimmer under certain light. I did French on both fingers and toes, which is a rarity, but it was a wedding. On my toes, I used one coat of OPI Alpine Snow for the white tips, one coat of Essie Allure, and three (yes three!) coats of Vinyl Bikini. My toes looked like frosted glass, and I got a couple of compliments! On my fingers, one coat each of Allure and Vinyl Bikini (in that order) went over the French Tip White. Again, the look was like frosted glass. If I get married, I would definitely consider this look!
This color isn't the most exciting in the world, but I like it anyway.
This color isn't the most exciting in the world, but I like it anyway. It's pretty much clear with a hint of cool white, like a much sheerer version of Waltz. I bet this would be great for layering under other sheer colors. In really bright sunlight, I get a hint of shimmer but you have to look really hard. So yeah...pretty much clear, but nice nonetheless. Vinyl Bikini is from Essie's 2004 Summertime collection.
